Tammin Sursok, known for her role in Home and Away, has shared a candid glimpse into her family life, revealing an unconventional yet deeply personal arrangement: her entire family, including her husband Sean McEwen, daughters Phoenix (11) and Lennon (6), and even their dog, all share a bedroom.

In an interview with Stellar, Tammin explained that her children are still “obsessed” with her, which is why they prefer to sleep together. While each family member technically has their own room, they’ve opted to pull an additional bed into the primary bedroom. Phoenix sleeps on the extra bed, Lennon sleeps in the middle, and the dog curls up at the foot of the bed.

“Sean sleeps on one side, I sleep on the other, and the dog sleeps on the bottom. They won’t get out,” the 41-year-old actress laughed.

Initially hesitant about the arrangement, Tammin admitted she felt “antsy” at first. However, her perspective shifted as she started to feel “the march of time” and realized how precious these years are when her children still want to be so close.

For Tammin, this setup works well for her family, but it has its challenges—especially when it comes to carving out intimate time with her husband. Addressing the common question of how they manage marital intimacy, Tammin was refreshingly honest.

“People ask, ‘What about intimacy with your husband?’” she said. “We have an office. The bedroom doesn’t have to be the only place for intimacy.”

Navigating Marriage and Parenthood

Tammin has always been open about the complexities of balancing parenthood and her marriage. On The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show podcast, she revealed that maintaining a healthy sex life is vital for her relationship. She shared that she and Sean make an effort, even if it means sneaking off to the closet for some privacy.

“We’ve had to lock ourselves in the closet because what are you going to do?” she joked. “You’ve got little kids, and it’s the school holidays. Fridays are when we try to make it happen.”

The Pretty Little Liars star also shared how sex helps her feel connected to Sean, describing it as more than just physical pleasure.

“For me, sex is the most vulnerable I can be with someone. It makes me feel connected. If we go more than 10 days without it, I’m mean to him. He always notices and says, ‘I can tell.’”

A Decade of Love and Commitment

Tammin and Sean tied the knot in a picturesque Italian ceremony in 2011 and renewed their vows a decade later during a romantic beach ceremony on Australia’s Gold Coast. Despite the challenges of raising two young children, the couple’s bond remains strong, built on honesty, connection, and a commitment to making their relationship a priority.

As Tammin reflects on these years with her family, she treasures the chaos, laughter, and love that come with raising young children who adore their parents. “These are moments you can’t get back,” she said, embracing the unique dynamics that make her family special.
