A shopper has been left fuming after discovering an ‘unAustralian’ Mother’s Day present at her local Woolworths store.
The woman was browsing through the Mother’s Day section at Woolies when she noticed a framed card that had the words ‘Best Mom Ever’ on it and a floral design surrounding the text.
She shared her dismay after seeing the item had used the American spelling of ‘Mom’ instead of the Australian spelling ‘Mum’.

The woman later shared a picture of the item to social media, writing: ‘Spotted this in my local Woolies in Tuncurry, NSW.’
‘Pretty disappointed at the spelling of ‘mum’. Last time I checked, we’re living in Australia and Woolies is an Australian store.
‘I don’t want my kids giving me presents with ‘mom’ on it, I’m not an American. This is unAustralian,’ she added.
‘This is just unAustralian. Lift your game Woolies.’
It is understood the error on the gift was the result of an ordering issue with the frame.
