U2 frontman Bono and his bandmate The Edge enjoyed an idyllic yacht trip in Ibiza on Monday on the £12million superyacht owned by the latter, real name David Howell Evans.
The rockers, aged 61 and 60 respectively, went shirtless for their day on the shores as they larked around – enjoying lunch on the beach and indulged in some water sports while living it up on The Edge’s superyacht CYAN, which he purchased with pals in 2008 for an eye-popping £12m.
The group, who were joined by Bono’s best friend Guggi, real name Derek Rowen, appeared to be ready to unwind as they ventured along the shores on the 140ft yacht, which features six cabins and accommodation for 12 guests.

Bono looked in relaxation mode during the jaunt as he donned leaf-print swimming shorts and a black tee which he whipped off ahead of making his way into the crystalline waters.
The sexagenarian wore a pair of rock star worthy Ray Ban sunglasses and comfortable black slip-on sandals.
The Edge meanwhile also wore graphic print shorts as he enjoyed a shower on the back of the yacht, making the most of the end of summer on the swanky vessel.
When The Edge purchased the vessel three years ago, he was keen to clear up confusion over who owned CYAN – making it very clear he was in fact the owner of the boat, not the band frontman.

He said at the time: ‘It’s not Bono’s yacht at all, it’s mine. Bono doesn’t know a thing about boats. For years it was a dream of mine to own a yacht, but to be honest, it was a bit out of my league. So myself and a few friends got together, chipped in, and bought the Cyan. I don’t know where the story that Bono owns it came from.’
His wife Morleigh Steinberg oversaw the redesign of the yacht, which happened in St Tropez in 2008.
The Edge explained: ‘She’s now been totally refurbished and we’re really happy with her. Morleigh has totally overseen all the work onboard and it’s great. So it’s now a really hip ship!’
The boat lacks for absolutely nothing when it comes to luxuries, with all the mod-cons fitted for guests. CYAN includes a state-of-the-art music system, an on-deck jacuzzi, swimming platform, vast dining area and bar.

Amazing: Codesca Yachts built the yacht in 1997 and the boat is tagged with a charter price of between €140,000 and €175,000, depending on the length of hire
Having a giggle: Bono seemed to be enjoying his surroundings as he laughed away

The bandmates are known to holiday together as they also own a sea-front coral mansion in the French Riviera’s popular Eze-sur-Mer resort, which they bought for a whopping €3.3million. Their famous neighbours around their home include Robert de Niro, George Clooney, Cindy Crawford, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
Bono’s holiday comes after he made a surprise appearance as a special guest at the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia last month, alongside his stylish wife Ali Hewson, 60.

The couple and German film director Wim Wenders were seen being greeted by Sarajevo Film Festival’s general manager Mirsad Purivatra on the red carpet at a screening of Wim Wenders’ 2000 film The Million Dollar Hotel.
Bono co-wrote The Million Dollar Hotel with Nicholas Klein and he also produced the film and the soundtrack.
The film debuted at the Berlinale in 2000, before going on to play the sixth edition of Sarajevo later that summer. Festival director Mirsad Purivatra shared an image of Bono and Wenders catching up at the event to Instagram.

Bono made a speech before the film praising the city saying: ‘It’s as if there are two Sarajevos – the real and the imagined. The one that you live and work in and we visit; and this mythic Sarajevo, a place of fun and magic.’
It came two months after the superstar enjoyed a blow-out birthday bash with his nearest and dearest in London. Joined by his daughters Eve and Jordan, 32, Bono and his family rang in his 61st year at the upmarket Scott’s in Mayfair.
Two days later Bono, Ali and Behind Her Eyes star Eve – whose birthday falls on the same day as her famous father’s – were spotted continuing the celebrations over lunch at the River Café in Hammersmith, with Bono making time for a chinwag with the eatery’s owner, Ruth Rogers.
