Tom Hanks and Tim Allen enjoy breakfast together in Los Angeles… as they spark rumors of a return to the Toy Story franchise

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen were spotted having breakfast together at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood earlier this week.

Tom, 66, and Tim, 69, were seated apart from many of the restaurant’s other guests and appeared to be enjoying each other’s company during their meeting in a photo obtained by TMZ.

The pair’s meeting sparked speculation that the two could potentially be collaborating on another feature in the Toy Story franchise, in which they voice Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

The first movie in the long-running Disney series was released to the public in 1995.

It became notable for being the first completely computer-animated feature-length film.

The movie followed a pull-string cowboy named Woody (Hanks) who has to deal with the appearance of a space cadet action figure named Buzz Lightyear (Allen) who may have become their owner’s new favorite toy.

Toy Story received widespread critical acclaim and grossed nearly $400 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

A sequel to the original feature was released in 1999 and saw Hanks and Allen reprising their voice roles.

Like its predecessor, Toy Story 2 was well-received by critics and audiences alike and was also a success at the box office.

Pixar and Walt Disney Studios waited for just over a decade before releasing Toy Story 3.

The movie received acclaim from both critics and fans of the franchise and grossed just over $1 billion at the box office.

The fourth entry in the Toy Story franchise eventually made its debut in 2019.

The movie, which saw the addition of performers such as Christina Hendricks, Jordan Peele and Keanu Reeves to the cast, was a hit upon its release.

A spinoff feature, confusingly centered on a fictional astronaut who inspired the Buzz Lightyear toy, entitled Lightyear, was released earlier this year.

The movie received much attention after Chris Evans took on the title role, though the character is technically not the same as Allen’s.

Hanks subsequently spoke about the project and expressed that he wanted to reunite with his costar, who was not involved with the movie.

The Philadelphia star stated via TMZ: ‘They didn’t let Tim Allen do it. I don’t understand that.’
