Scherri-Lee Biggs has spent the last few weeks filling in for Tim Davies as the Today show’s roving weather presenter.

And the 31-year-old enjoyed some well-deserved time off on Monday as she spent the day soaking up the sun at the beach in Sydney.

Scherri-Lee, a former Miss Universe Australia, shared a photo to Instagram of herself reclining on a rock in Parsley Bay, Vaucluse.

She wore a swimsuit with a plunging neckline, drawing attention to her décolletage.

The former beauty queen, who is considered a rising star at Channel Nine, lay back on the rock to show off her toned legs.

Scherri-Lee protected herself from the sun by wearing a floppy bucket hat, and styled her long blonde hair loosely.

She also shared a short video of her view of the bay, and captioned it: ‘Ola Sydney.’

Scherri-Lee has been filling in for weatherman Tim Davies over the holiday season.

She recently had a wild animal encounter while feeding a caged lion at Sydney Zoo on December 21.

After tossing the animal a piece of meat, it leapt up on the steel fence towards her.

‘Oh my god!’ Scherri-Lee yelled as she jumped back.

‘I think that is because I called him an elephant… He is very angry,’ she added.

Scherri-Lee was one of the breakout stars of Celebrity Apprentice’s most recent season.

She shot to fame when she won Miss Universe Australia in 2011 – the year after Jesinta Franklin took the crown.

Scherri-Lee went on to represent her country in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant, placing in the top 10.

She is a familiar face to Channel Nine viewers in Perth and some industry insiders suspect she could soon be bound for the east coast.
