Tiger Woods officially WITHDRAWS from playing in the US Open after undergoing ankle surgery in April following The Masters
In an unsurprising decision, Tiger Woods has officially withdrawn from the upcoming 2023 U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club this June.
The 15-time major winner underwent surgery in April following an appearance at The Masters.
This procedure, a subtalar fusion, was done to treat post-traumatic arthritis from when the golfer broke his leg in a car wreck.
Woods pulled out of The Masters, saying he was dealing with recurring plantar fasciitis after having made the cut for the 23rd time in a row.
Surgery was completed back on April 19, at the Hospital for Special Surgery’s Sports Medicine Institute in New York.
Tiger Woods has officially backed out from playing in this year’s U.S. Open
