The Walking Dead star Tom Payne and his musician wife Jennifer Akerman have welcomed a baby boy.

The 39-year-old actor and the artist known as Final Child took to their Instagram pages to announce the happy news on Sunday.  

‘Harrison Magnus Austin Payne, born January 5th. I can’t believe you’re here,’ Tom wrote in the caption of a photo in which Harrison’s tiny hand was seen wrapped around his father’s thumb.

The Prodigal Son performer continued, ‘We love you immeasurably and will always be there for you. The next big life adventure starts here! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

In the image that Jennifer posted, she was seen laying in bed and closing her eyes as she cradled her infant, who was swaddled under a blanket.

Harrison, whose face was concealed beneath a trio of hearts, tucked his head under his mother’s chin and rested his hand on her shoulder.

She captioned the tender snap: ‘I can’t believe you are here. Welcome to the world Harrison Magnus Austin Payne ❤️ We love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.’

Tom and Jennifer, who began dating in 2013 and announced their engagement in 2018, tied the knot in December of 2020.

The couple revealed that they were expecting their first child in the music video for Final Child’s November 2021 single South of the Border.

Jennifer and Tom starred in the video, which concluded with the songstress revealing her baby bump which the actor lovingly caressed.

Tom confirmed to People magazine that the two were expecting a baby son by the end of the year, adding, ‘When Jen was preparing to release a new single for her Final Child project, we had an idea for a music video that also seemed like a fun opportunity to introduce people to our news.’

He continued, ‘She would have spent the whole video trying to hide it anyway so we thought why not include it as a surprise ending!’ 

‘We had such a good time making the video and are very thankful for the small crew and extras that we were able to gather to mark such a big moment in our lives.’
