
The Project’s Denise Scott, 68, reveals she’s battling an ‘aggressive’ form of breast cancer after being diagnosed six months ago
Aussie comedian Denise Scott has revealed she’s battling a ‘particularly aggressive’ form of breast cancer.
The media personality and former star of The Project, 68, spoke about her shock health diagnosis to The Australian Women’s Weekly.
Denise was diagnosed with breast cancer six months ago while working on the Mother and Son reboot but bravely carried on shooting the project.
Denise has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy in a bid to beat the horrible disease and has nine months of treatment left.
‘I do console myself that at least I’ve lived a full life that I’m happy with,’ Denise told the publication.

She added: ‘But I don’t want to go yet. There are things I want to do.’
Denise said she’s leaning on husband John Lane for support and added: ‘The prognosis has continued to be good, and there’s a lot of hope.’
Back in 2018, Denise revealed that she tells her beau to ‘f**k off’ when he calls her ‘hot’ while speaking to Andrew Denton’s Interview.

At the time, she admitted that she hadn’t felt sexy in 25 years
‘I have aged in a way, I’m not happy. I’ve got skin stuff, weight issues. I haven’t felt sexy in a long time. That’s a disappointment,’ she added of her hang-ups.
The Studio 10 panelist said that her partner John thinks she’s perfect the way she is.

‘John, Mr Happy Pants, thinks I look fantastic. He’s always saying “Oh you look hot”. I go f**k off John”, I don’t,’ Denise said.
Denise met John when they performed together as clowns on a theatre production in Albury, New South Wales.
The veteran actress previously revealed to The Sydney Morning Herald that she wanted kids with John, just four weeks after meeting.
‘We decided we wanted kids together. I’d been told I couldn’t conceive, but Dad’s sudden death made it urgent to find out. I got pregnant straight away,’ she explained.
Denise’s father Russ died from a sudden heart attack when she was just 28 years old.
