‘Ive never known an operation like it! I didn’t get to sing a big ballad but I DID get to be a showgirl again and also surprise Rafferty by being on one of his favourite ever shows!

‘Bless him he was so proud and not being able to breathe and getting backache from the huge heavy wired swan sculpture was all worth it! I can’t believe I managed to keep it a secret! #maskedsingeruk #swan #rafferty #pricelessmoments❤️ #showgirl #sogoodtobeback’. (sic)

Martine found herself in a sing-off with Sausage, whose identity is yet to be revealed, and despite impressing with her rendition of Black Velvet by Alannah Myles, the actress was voted off by the judging panel.

Fellow judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Rita Ora were wrong with their answers after they guessed Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts and Idina Menzel as the Swan – respectively.

Well that was a surprise! When she was finally unmasked, a shocked Rafferty said: 'What? Mummy, mummy, mummy! Oh my god'

It was ultimately judge Jonathan Ross who correctly guessed her identity before the unmasking.

So far, the 2021 series has had a bad success rate for singers with Martine becoming the third professional performer to be booted off following Mel B and Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s exits in previous weeks.

Talking about her time on the show, Martine said: ‘I just thought it would be so lovely just to come out and have fun!’

To which Davina replied: ‘You look fantastic,’ with Martine adding: ‘That’s lovely, thank you!’

As one of her clues before being unmasked during the show, Swan teased that she had served a Prime Minister and had deals with more than one president of the USA.

After her unveiling, Martine revealed that her statement was in fact a nod at her role as Natalie in Love Actually, where she acts as a secretary to Prime Minister David, played by Hugh Grant, where she also meets with US president (Billy Bob Thornton).

Although the actress revealed that she once had a real run-in with a US president as she sat next to Donald Trump at Liza Minnelli’s wedding in 2002.

To which Martine joked: ‘Milan! We were signed to Polydor when we were 14-years-old. So I felt like a washed up has been by the time I was 18.’
