But on Wednesday, Mia Wasikowska looked worlds away from her red carpet heyday as she was spotted during a rare outing in Sydney’s Bronte Beach.
Wearing a cool blue turtleneck, paired with a contrasting vibrant sling bag, Mia appeared deep in thought after lunching with a female friend.
Her ensemble was completed with a practical black strap bag and casual trousers.

‘I think I’ve got less patience for the parts of the industry that I don’t like. I don’t care too much to be pushed into an image that will get me jobs,’ the All Saints star explained, referring to Hollywood as ‘repressive’.
This isn’t the first time Mia has spoken about life as an A-lister, telling The Guardian in 2019 that the spotlight wasn’t always as rosy as it seemed.
When asked what advice she would give to young actors, Mia said: ‘If you really, really love it – keep going but my perspective has changed.’
She continued: ‘I’ve done this job for ten years now all over the world and after a while, it leaves you feeling hollow.’
