Texts from slain boyfriend reveal OnlyFans model stabbed him twice before she killed him

A man stabbed to death by his OnlyFans model girlfriend earlier this year was attacked and stabbed in two domestic disputes directly prior to the murder, newly released text messages have revealed.

Uncovered by Miami police as part of their probe into the slaying, the conversations shed new light on the toxic relationship between Christian Obumseli, 27, and Courtney Clenney, 26, before he was killed after an apparent argument in their luxury apartment on April 3.

Now being used as evidence in a mounting murder case against Clenney, the messages depict a romance rife with abuse and physical attacks carried out by the influencer in the months before the killing.

Less than a month before the attack, the abuse became so pronounced that Obumseli – a hulking, musclebound man who towered over his alleged terrorizer – texted Clenney: ‘Is love going to kill me?’

The alleged femme fatale is currently facing second-degree murder charges.

She was arrested in Hawaii in August while in rehabilitation for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder, after suffering a supposed nervous breakdown.

Obtained by the Miami Herald on Thursday, the messages from Obumseli’s iCloud account detail two incidents in particular that would have raised red flags if seen by someone withdrawn from the pair’s stormy relationship.

On one occasion last year, Obumseli wrote of how he was stabbed twice by an incensed Clenney in the leg. He described texts how he was subsequently left so badly injured, that he could barely walk.

In another flare-up a day later, a still injured Obumseli described yet another attack in which he was hit in the head by his girlfriend and left with a concussion.

Then, in late January, Obumseli suffered two cuts to the cheek and chin after another alleged tiff, with his wounds documented in photos since obtained by police.

Those injuries were reportedly severe enough that the since slain Obumseli would have to admit himself to a local hospital to receive stitches.

Details surrounding these alleged altercations were provided for the first time in the recently released text messages, which further reveal that in the weeks before his death, Obumseli agonized about being subjected to racial slurs and intensifying violence at the hands of Clenney.

After their release Thursday, an attorney for Obumseli’s family said the messages and recordings revealed Clenney ‘terrorized [Obumseli’s] life’ – adding that they are  planning to file a wrongful death civil lawsuit against the aspiring model.

They further argue that the texts provide proof that Clenney had not been acting in self-defense when she stabbed her boyfriend, contrary to prior assertions.

‘It’s a clear pattern of her being unhinged and out of control,’ Miami attorney Larry Handfield said Thursday afternoon. ‘She was a threat and has demonstrated a pattern of violence and clearly, that fateful day, it came to an end.’

In all, the state released three text exchanges between Obumseli and Clenney – which comes into addition to a trove of evidence against the influencer, including audio clips secretly recorded by the victim chronicling his abuse, and security footage taken from their elevator that showed Clenney attack her beau.

The first correspondence took place in October 2021, when the couple still lived in Texas, and saw Obumseli recount how Clenney had stabbed him in the leg following an argument, and that his wound hurt so bad he ‘couldn’t f**king walk.’

In another text, he wrote ‘the next morning I still woke up happy I still gave you a good day even though my leg was hurting because my girlfriend stabbed me.’

He added: ‘Did I make you feel like s**t for stabbing me? No just sucked it up and hoped tomorrow will be better.’

In another exchange the following day, Obumseli anguished over another incident of alleged abuse where he said Clenney spit on him while ‘pounding her phone’ on his face and on the back of his head.

Still suffering from the injuries sustained in that bust-up, Obumseli, a cryptocurrency trader and investor, pleaded with his girlfriend to open the door to their apartment so he could recover on the couch.

The texts saw the young professional remark that he thought he had a concussion, and that he was bleeding and vomiting.

‘Now I have a lump. I’m bleeding. Throwing up,’ Obumseli wrote, adding, ‘I think I got a mild concussion and have anxiety.’

He further remarked that he had slept in the apartment building’s restroom for two hours in the wake of the alleged attack, and that he was ‘just lost beyond words.’

Five minutes later, is girlfriend replied, in a message that saw her admit to engaging in the abusive behavior, before seemingly brushing it off as no more than a lovers’ quarrel.

‘I’m sorry for hitting you in the face and the back of your head and spitting on you. Is it right? No. You just Piss me [sic] tf off, but still love you.’

Then, on January 30, after the couple had moved to the apartment building in Edgewater where Obumseli would eventually die, more text messages revealed the pair’s plans to purchase ‘blow’ – street slang for cocaine.

Later that evening, when Obumseli was at a bar watching a football game, the couple argued over the tone of their messages to each other, with Clenney growing upset after her boyfriend answered one text with ‘Yes, Courtney?’

‘Yes, Courtney is unnecessary,’ Cleny wrote, according to the Herald. ‘I continue to have to explain to you how to act.’

The pair would then meet back up before engaging in another spat – however, the details surrounding what exactly transpired is unclear.

What is known is that Obumseli would end up hospitalized after suffering two gashes tp his face, requiring several stitches.

As Obumseli was en route to the facility, Clenney sent an ominous text that strongly suggest that it was by her hand that Obumseli suffered the injuries.

‘Hopefully this will give you time to think about your actions,’ the message reads, with Clenney eventually adding ‘enjoy the hospital.’

‘Tell them your side then I’ll tell them what happened,’ she wrote.

Obumseli would then quickly write back, writing, ‘I’m not saying anything’ and ‘Ima say Football incident.’

The texts go on to show how later that night and into the next day, a bedridden Obumseli repeatedly chastise his girlfriend over the alleged assault and ‘getting stabbed multiple times.’

‘I was in the hospital looking forward to seeing you and you go drink and leave with someone?’ Obumseli wrote, apparently frustrated his girlfriend was not home upon his return the following day.

He then griped to his flame how she had been out partying during his hospitalization, while her ‘bf is passed out on the bed getting stitched up Bc I lost to much blood.’

Days after the stabbing, Clenney would express regret in a series of profuse apologies.

‘I love you so much Christian. I should have been at the hospital with you and i should have slept next to you i always have,’ she wrote.

‘I feel extreme regret, sadness, and humiliation and I am so, so sorry for hurting you.’

Less than three months later, after another argument, Obumseli would end up dead, stabbed several times by Clenney, who then called police hysterical, asserting that she acted in self defense.

It was not until a further four months had passed that Clenney was arrested for Obumseli’s murder, with cops tracking her down to a rehab in Hawaii where she said she was receiving treatment for drug abuse and PTSD allegedly suffered as a result of the murder.

Obumseli’s family was subsequently left irate over investigators failure to charge Clenney immediately over his death, saying it was ‘because of her “privilege” as a “wealthy white woman”‘ and not because of her self-defense claim.

In a statement posted to Instagram, the victim’s brother, Jeffrey Obumseli – and his family – wrote that they do not believe Clenney and demand that she be charged.

The pair moved to Miami at the beginning of the year – and almost immediately, staff and residents at the One Paraiso building reported multiple domestic disturbance complaints about the couple, and had even moved to evict them.

Days before the murder, police were called to the apartment complex after a a distraught Clenney told them that Obumseli had been ‘stalking’ her.

Bodycam footage of their interaction shows building security guards corroborating her story, and describing how Obumseli ‘came towards her’.

Days later, Obumseli was rushed to a nearby hospital but he died of his injuries.

His family, meanwhile  is adamant that Clenney was responsible, arguing that she was always the aggressor in their romance and that she became a ‘different person’ when she drank.

Security footage taken from the building’s elevator two months before the murder also showed Clenney viscously attacking her boyfriend, who appeared not to fight back.

The model was caught on video covered with blood on her high-rise balcony just after the killing.

Clenney and Obumseli had been dating less than two years, and their relationship was tumultuous.

She was arrested for domestic battery in Las Vegas, and police were called to their home in Austin, Texas, on several occasions.

‘The bottom line is inextricably clear: Courtney is being treated differently because of her privilege as a wealthy White woman,’ Obumseli’s borther Jeffrey wrote on Instagram in April.

‘Within 24 hours following Toby’s death, the detective on the case prematurely concluded this was not a crime of violence.’

Throughout the investigation, Clenney continued to post X-rated content on her OnlyFans page, posing nude and in bikinis to her thousands of fans.

X-rated content even appeared on her site the day after she allegedly killed Obumseli – however it is unclear if it had been scheduled to go live before the incident.

The newly surfaced texts could prove crucial in the impending trial against Clenney, whose legal team has stood firm with their self-defense argument despite mounting evidence.

Weeks before his death, Obumseli agonized in a message to his alleged killer about being subjected to being called the n-word and repeated abuse.

‘Is love going to kill me?’ Obumseli wrote in March, adding: ‘February was the worst month I had so far. I got cheated on. I got called that word again. I got slapped in my stitches that has re-opened multiple times and it’s not healing fast enough.’

Nearly a day after her arrest, Clenney’s OnlyFans account was taken down.

She is currently being held in custody pending the start of her trial.
