A teenage boy has allegedly been busted riding a motorised Esky filled with drugs around Melbourne’s south-east.
Police said the 17-year-old was seen cruising around Lyrebird Drive in his home suburb of Carrum Downs on the makeshift vehicle on Saturday.
After several calls to police from concerned neighbours, officers on the ground with assistance by the police helicopter unit were able to track the boy down.
Police arrived to allegedly find the teen straddled to the unroadworthy vehicle, which had traffic signs attached on the front and back as well as two shovels strapped on the side.

Inside the portable cooler, officers allegedly uncovered what they have described as a ‘mobile marijuana unit’, featuring drugs, electric scales, and a bong.
The Esky was taken on the road and the boy is being dealt with by police.
Photos of the unusual contraption were posted on Facebook by Frankston Police Service Area on Monday, leaving many Aussies amused.
‘You couldn’t make this up,’ someone wrote.
‘Sounds like a skit from The Chaser.’
‘Not going to lie, a part of me would be a little impressed,’ another added.
‘Why do we punish such great Aussie ingenuity? This is gold,’ a third said.
