Fox Sports’ coverage of Super Bowl LVII was viewed by a staggering 115.1 million fans across its platforms, according to new figures by Nielsen, as reported by Front Office Sports.
February’s dramatic game has beaten the 114.4 million viewers who tuned in for Super Bowl XLIX when the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks on NBC Sports in 2015.
Barbados-born singer Rihanna also made her big comeback at Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
She surprised fans with a baby bump during her highly-anticipated return after putting her music career on pause in 2017 to focus on her business ventures.

Super Bowl LVI was watched by 112.3 million supporters, leading to a two percent increase in the audience this year.
‘We’re feeling pretty bullish about this matchup,’ Fox’s head of strategy analytics Michael Mulvihill told Front Office Sports before the game.
‘Pretty bullish about the markets involved. Great about the momentum that the league has coming into this week.
‘We’re looking for 115 million viewers — which would be a new record.’

Earlier in the season, the Thanksgiving afternoon game between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys set the mark for the most-watched NFL regular-season game on record.
The Cowboys 28-20 victory on Fox averaged 42 million viewers, according to Nielsen, surpassing the 41.55 million average for the December 3, 1990, Monday night game between the Giants and San Francisco 49ers on ABC. Average viewer record numbers date to 1988.
The average viewership for the three Thanksgiving Day games on Thursday was 33.5 million, surpassing the previous high of 32.9 million in 1993, when two games were aired.
