Stormzy and Calvin Harris ‘set for collaboration after hitting it off in Ibiza, with rapper and DJ hoping to storm to the top of the charts’
Stormy and Calvin Harris are reportedly set to collaborate after hitting it off in Ibiza.
The rapper, 30, and the DJ, 39, are said to be planning on a track together when they are both next on the Spanish party island.
Croydon-born star Stormzy jetted out to the White Isle with friends last month and the two stars are said to have bonded during Calvin’s warm-up celebrations at nightclub Ushuaia.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: ‘Stormzy’s admired Calvin for a long time. Both are huge fans of the dance capital, with Stormzy previously holding his #MerkyFestival at Ibiza Rocks. Stormzy’s been surprising everyone by dropping songs on almost a weekly basis.
‘But so far, he hasn’t made it to the top spot with his collaborators. Ibiza is the perfect setting to let their creative juices come together.

‘They’ll work on a project next time he’s there.’
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Stormzy and Calvin for comment.
All three of Stormzy’s album have reached the top spot on the charts but he has three no.1 singles.
Scottish hitmaker Calvin has reached the top of the charts with an impressive 11 singles.
In March, Calvin and Ellie Goulding spent eight weeks at the top of the charts with their single Miracle.
However, Stormzy’s releases with Fredo, called Toxic Trait, and Raye, titled The Weekend, peaked at No.11 and No.23 respectively.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported Stormzy is set to drop new music ‘sooner rather than later’.
He released his latest album This Is What I Mean in November, and his producer PRGRSHN – who worked on the majority of the tracks, including hit Hide and Seek – has teased some new material in the pipeline.

According to the Daily Star, the producer said: ‘We’re always trying to stay creative and make new music.
‘You might see him sooner rather than later, I’m not sure.’
The producer admitted Stormzy needs to be ‘inspired’ to create.
He added: ‘Ultimately he’s an artist that has to be inspired so once he’s inspired there will be new music for sure.’
However, fans might not be waiting too long at all after a report earlier this year claimed he’s already been working on new material.
A source told The Sun: ‘Stormzy isn’t resting on his laurels and has been writing and recording new songs already.
‘Artistically he seems to be the strongest and most creative he has ever been. Stormzy has been doing some stuff at Qube studios in London. He registered a new track on a songwriting database earlier this month.
‘The track is called Fire and it’s been pegged as a potential hit.’

And, it is believed that Stormzy could release another album this year.
The insider added: ‘Those around Stormzy think the song could spawn another album. It is really empowering and moving – and is very much in the vein of This Is What I Mean.
‘His label is really excited about what they are hearing and no one should be surprised if Stormzy strikes while the iron is hot and releases new music this year.
‘It is a hugely exciting time for him.’
