Sophie’s outing comes after she issued a diplomatic statement about her ex Maddie following their sudden split last month.

‘While break-ups are sad for everyone, I have chosen to have a really positive mindset and I have peace knowing we shared a wonderful few years together and I wish her all the best both personally and professionally overseas,’ she told The Herald Sun.

The pair’s separation came as a shock to fans, as there had been little indication things were going downhill for the long-distance couple.

Back in mid-October, Sophie said she was ‘counting down the sleeps’ until she could see her fiancée in Italy, where she had taken a job at a women’s basketball team.

But just days after arriving in Florence, the self-help author cut the holiday – and relationship – short and flew home ‘in tears’.

The pair’s split came just one month after they began a long-distance relationship when Maddie moved to Florence to work for Polisportiva A.Galli Basket.

‘It is with sadness and a great deal of pain that I have unfortunately made the decision to end my relationship,’ Sophie wrote on Instagram Stories.

‘When I proposed, I did it with the guarantee of loyalty, trust, honesty and respect from my end.

‘Despite the great deal of love I still hold, I have made this decision to lead by example for what I know I deserve in life for myself, and for my children – because we are all worthy.’

She added: ‘While I am hurting, life must go on. I still have to show up for work with my businesses and most importantly be a mum and role model to my two children.’

The former Australian Survivor star concluded by saying she did not expect the relationship to end so soon.

‘This is unfortunately a position I really didn’t want to be in. Therefore, I beg of you, please let me be, to protect my children, my mental health and allow us to heal and move forward,’ she wrote.

‘I will not be commenting any further.’

Despite not revealing the reason for the split, Sophie hinted at a breach of trust and said she made the decision for herself and her children, daughter Florence, five, and son Bobby, eight
