Silver Service taxi allegedly stolen in Sydney: Handsome well-dressed man wanted for questioning


Cops on the lookout for a handsome well-dressed mystery man after a Silver Service taxi was allegedly stolen in a bizarre incident

A well-dressed mystery man may be able ‘assist with inquiries’ after a Silver Service taxi was allegedly stolen in a bizarre incident.

Police released images of the handsome stranger on Thursday in the hope he may be able to shed light on the unusual case which saw the driver allegedly threatened. 

Sydney City Area Command said in an alert the cab was parked on Hunter Street, in the Sydney CBD, when an unknown man approached and allegedly damaged the car.

The man then allegedly threatened the taxi’s 52-year-old driver before stealing the vehicle and fleeing.

The car was later found in Woollahra with ‘significant damage’, police said.

The man police want to speak to is described as being of Caucasian appearance and of a thin build with brown hair.

He was wearing a dark blue suit and white collared shirt.

Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact police immediately.
