A father-of-one has today admitted killing a young woman who was found strangled in an isolated beauty spot.
Lily Sullivan, 18, had been partying with friends and a seen in a nightclub just hours before her body was found in the Mill Pond area of Pembroke, south Wales, in the early hours of Friday, December 17.
Lewis Haines, 31, of Lamphey, Pembrokeshire, was charged with Miss Sullivan’s murder and a court heard he strangled the teenager.
Haines appeared at Swansea Crown Court today where he denied murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
He is due back on court on June 20 for trial.
Haines and Miss Sullivan allegedly met in a Pembroke nightclub called Paddles just hours before her body was found. CCTV footage is said to have showed the pair speaking in the club.

It is understood they did not know each other prior to that evening.
CCTV footage purportedly shows the pair leaving the club separately and meeting in a lane near the club.
Lily’s body was found in Mill Pond at 4am on Friday, December 18.
She was wearing a white cropped top, blue jeans with ripped knees,
Coroner’s officer Lisa Jenkins told an earlier inquest hearing that police were called to the ponds at 4.12am ‘following reports of a female body in the water’.
She added: ‘Despite resuscitation attempts she was pronounced dead at 6.02am.’

In tribute, following her death, Lily’s family said: ‘Lily was a kind and caring daughter who will be deeply missed by everyone.
‘The family are very thankful to all of Lily’s friends for their support.’
Flowers were also laid at the mill pond next to historic Pembroke Castle in memory of supermarket worker Miss Sullivan.
Family friend Byron John added: ‘Lily was a sweet and lovely young woman, well spoken and very grown up for her years.
‘She had the whole of her life in front of her. It’s just terrible. Her mother Anna doted on her, she was an only child and they were very close.
