He quit SAS Australia on Wednesday night’s episode, after an old back injury flared up and caused him grief.

And following his exit, Bra Boy Koby Abberton has revealed the whopping amount he was paid to appear on Channel Seven’s military-style show.

The pro surfer, 42, told Triple M’s Moonman in the Morning: ‘I was paid $100,000.’

Tidy sum: Bra Boy Koby Abberton has revealed the whopping amount he was paid to appear on SAS Australia, telling Triple M’s Moonman in the Morning he negotiated a $100,000 salary

Koby opened up about his pay after making headlines for asking Mark Philippoussis on the show how much he earned during his tennis career.

He explained on Triple M he’d asked such a personal question because he wanted to inspire young people to pursue sports instead of social media ‘influencing’.

‘When I grew up, the only way out of my area was to be a sportsman,’ he told radio host Lawrence Mooney.

‘You were either a surfer, a football player or a fighter, and that’s what we banked on.

‘These days these kids are constantly on Instagram, or Facebook or TikTok or all this garbage. They all seem to want to be Instagram stars, and honestly it’s just garbage.’

'I spoke about money because I want kids to hear how much he's making, as I want to inspire kids to be tennis stars. That's a commendable job. I think that's just an awesome thing,' Koby said

He added: ‘I spoke about money [with Mark] because I want kids to hear how much he’s making, as I want to inspire kids to be tennis stars. That’s a commendable job. I think that’s just an awesome thing.

‘We grew up idolising people because they’d done great things – not because they’re the biggest troll in Sydney.’

‘You want to be inspired by a star – on that, can you tell us how much you were paid?’ Lawrence then asked.

‘I was paid $100,000,’ he replied without hesitation.

‘This is another thing that I’m talking about – there is other avenues of work. You be loud and proud, and sometimes you find it.’

An earlier report in The Daily Telegraph claimed Sam Burgess was paid between $150,000 and $200,000, while Philippoussis earned about $100,000.

The same report claimed Koby was bringing in between $50,000 and $60,000.

Koby quit on Wednesday’s episode of SAS Australia after an old back injury flared up.

He opted out of a gruelling challenge, which would have seen him partnered with another recruit and forced to carry a 70kg sandbag for two hours.

‘Nah, I’m not going to hurt myself,’ Koby announced, as the other recruits proceeded to pick up the sandbags and load them onto makeshift stretchers.

‘Staff, I’m done. I’m done, boys. I’ve got a bad back,’ he added, as he proceeded to rip his armband off.

He later explained: ‘I’m not here to hurt myself. I live a really simple life and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.

‘I’ve been a good dad for the last five years. But if I go home and I’m lying in bed for a year, my whole life goes south. And I don’t want that for my son.’

SAS Australia continues Monday at 7:30pm on Channel Seven
