The actor also complimented his Transfusion co-star Edward Carmody, 21.

‘Ed is very honest, he is very authentic, his instincts are spot on and I think he is quite possibly the new face of Australian cinema,’ he added.

In Transfusion, Sam plays Ryan Logan, a former special forces operative, who is battling to cope with life after the loss of his wife.

Life takes another cruel twist when he is then thrust into the criminal underworld to keep his only son from being taken from him.
