‘My hair and confidence is back!’: Ruthie Henshall debuts her gorgeous new ‘do – after being left with a mullet following disastrous perm

She revealed in October that an ill-judged perm had gone disastrously wrong,  forcing her to cut it into a mullet.

But West End star Ruthie Henshall debuted long luscious locks on Monday gushing that both her ‘hair and confidence’ were back after feeling ‘un feminine’ without it.

Taking to Instagram the singer, 55, beamed for the camera as she shared a slew of snaps from the salon chair.

A firm favourite among beauty buffs at the time, a permanent wave, commonly called a perm, is a hairstyle consisting of waves or curls set into the hair.

Yet in her hilarious clip last year, Ruthie said: ‘This is a video with a warning – if you were born in the 80s, don’t try and relive your youth and get a perm.

‘Because you then fry your hair and have to have all your hair cut off. Just saying…’
