Rachel Zegler and Hunter Schafer lead the red carpet glamour as London’s Waterloo plays host to the UK premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes

The weather could best be described as post apocalyptic, but the venue was rather more glamorous as London’s BFI Waterloo played host to the UK premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes.

On a freezing night in the English capital, an American cast more familiar with clement Californian sunshine gathered to celebrate the new film’s eagerly anticipated release.

Set in a bleak dystopian future, director Francis Lawrence’s socially-conscious science fiction fantasy is set some 64-years before the events that take place in the much-loved franchise’s  first film – 2012 blockbuster The Hunger Games.

And true to form, leading ladies Rachel Zegler and Hunter Schafer looked out of this world as they greeted onlookers outside the south-east London venue.

Rachel, 22, inevitably commanded attention in a sweeping black evening gown with sheer lace detail while posing for photos after making her way to the BFI from the Corinthia Hotel.
