Phoebe Burgess is navigating life as a single mother after her highly publicised split from former Rabbitohs player Sam Burgess.
And on Wednesday, the influencer and podcast host made a live TV appearance on Today Extra where she spoke about her life post-divorce.
In an awkward moment at the start of her interview, hosts Sylvia Jeffreys and David Campbell introduced Phoebe to viewers when images of her and Sam, 34, in happier times, flashed up on screen.
Phoebe, 35, candidly admitted she was rather ‘triggered’ by seeing the photos, but was determined to ‘sail through’ the interview.
‘She’s back baby good morning, it’s nice to see you back,’ David began.

‘She’s back – only a slight trigger with a few of those images there, but we will sail through,’ Phoebe began.
She then said she’s been ‘doing well’ as she juggles work with raising her two children Poppy, six, and Billy, four, who she shares with her NRL star ex.
‘We’re going well, I always say ”we” as I feel like I come in a pack, there’s three of us,’ she said.

‘I think I made a joke that I’ve been hiding down in Bowral, but getting that call from Vogue to do the podcast really changed things a lot… I don’t sit people down and coerce them to give me the juice on their trauma, but it’s cool to get women talking,’ she said.
Speaking about being a single mother, Phoebe said it can be ‘isolating’ doing it alone, but other women in the same position have reached out to her and told their stories.
‘It’s the fastest growing family in Australia. It can be really isolating thinking the way you planned your life, the future you envisioned for yourself and the way you like to raise your kids is completely erased and you’re back to a clean slate, ground zero,’ she explained.

Phoebe said she now feels complete doing it alone and isn’t looking for love anytime soon, despite Sam moving on.
‘Knowing my family is complete, I’m not actively looking for something… I don’t have that feeling anymore. If it comes along great, but that’s a freedom I can enjoy,’ she said.
Last month, Phoebe said on her podcast her two children who saved her from despair during the break-up.
‘That was the only solid thing that I held onto. That was it. They needed me,’ Phoebe said on Under the Gloss.

Phoebe, who split with the controversial Rabbitohs star for the second and final time in October 2019, continued: ‘So I had to still be here [for the children].
‘The thing that gets you up off the floor, is that they need you,’ she said.
Sam and Phoebe married in 2015, separated in late 2018 and resumed their relationship in early 2019.
They split permanently on October 2 that year and later divorced.
Meanwhile, Sam has since moved on with fashion designer Lucy Graham and the pair are expecting their first child together five months after going public with their relationship.
Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed last week that Lucy is pregnant and the pair are over the moon.
‘We are so excited and happy to be starting this new chapter together… Happy days,’ Sam said in a statement.
