Peter Andre has admitted that he ‘was an idiot’ in past his relationships as he spoke in a candid new interview on Friday.
The singer, 50, explained how he has changed since becoming a father and the advice he has shared with his oldest child, Junior, 18, as he teaches him to be ‘respectful.’
He shares son Theo, six, and daughter Amelia, nine, with his wife Emily, as well as Junior and Princess, 16, with his ex Katie Price.
Speaking to The Mirror, Peter explained: ‘As a father I have learned a lot. It’s something I feel proud of because I think it’s very important to show you have changed as you get older.’
The television personality recalled how he had ‘changed his thinking’ over the years, having previously telling his kids that ‘pink is for women’ and ‘boys kiss girls.’

He continued: ‘By the time he [Junior] got to 12, I was saying “it doesn’t matter who you love as long as you are respectful and as long as you genuinely care for them”.
‘And then Junior would throw something at me like “were you always respectful to your girlfriends?” I would have to say to him “no, I wasn’t always, I was an idiot and my job is to teach you not to be that idiot!”‘
It comes as Princess Andre looked the spitting image of her mother, Katie Price, while enjoying a family holiday with her father, Peter, on Monday.
The teen model posed in a white crop top and maxi skirt, with the snap prompting an outpouring of compliments from fans instantly comparing Princess to her famous mum.
Fans gushed that the 16-year-old was the spitting image of Katie, 45, in her younger years with her curly locks.
Likening Princess to her mother, one follower wrote: ‘Just stunning… you look just like your mum when she was a natural beauty.. and she was.’
A second echoed: ‘Your mother’s double when she was younger.’
Peter also shared a selfie of the pair, as Princess held up a peace sign to the camera, writing ‘Love you daughter’ alongside the snap.

The former pop star’s sweet post comes as he opened up about Princess’s new boyfriend, telling Woman magazine: ‘I’m not happy about this at all. I’m struggling beyond belief, but that’s life.
‘We’ve had many chats. I have very strict rules in my house. I had this rule that would never have a boyfriend until she was 38, and now she’s 16 and she’s talking about boys!’
Peter went on to reveal that his viewpoint has slightly changed on the issue thanks to his wife Emily, 35, helping him realise the error of his ways.
‘Emily really made me realise that I can’t treat her differently to how I treated Junior at that age. That’s where my old school mentality had to change. It took a while, but I’ve got there.’
