The pair reportedly signed a prenuptial agreemnt in 2016 to divvy up their assets and debts and are said to have recently agreed to another confidential settlement to finish tying up any loose ends.

The former couple, who have a son and daughter, are looking to make their separation as peaceful as possible and have agreed not to make threats of ‘injury, maltreating, molesting, harassing, harming, or abusing’.

MailOnline has contacted Big Boi’s representatives for comment.

The pair had difficulties in their marriage before, with Sherlita filing for divorce back in 2013, demanding financial support and full custody of their children.

Big Boi said Sherlita would not be getting anything without a fight, but they later reconicled.

Sherlita is co-owner of a clothing boutique in Atlanta, Georgia called PValentine that previously featured on an episode of My Super Sweet 16.

Big Boi, who also has another son from a previous relationship, is best known for being a member of hip-hop duo Outkast with Andre 3000.

The pair formed in 1992 and achieved great success in the nineties and noughties, often regarded as one of the gretest hip-hop acts of all time.

Their 2003 double album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below featured the number one singles The Way You Move and Hey Ya! and won Album of the Year at the Grammys.

The group went on hiatus in 2007 to focus on solo projects and reunited for several shows in 2014 before going their separate ways once more.
