The documentary maker, who has since been recuperating at home with fiancé Bradley Dack, 28, added: ‘I was so scared.’

Olivia reassured her 2million Instagram followers on Friday that she would ‘be back soon’ after concern for the star grew amid her continued absence from social media.

She rubbished untrue claims that her exit had anything to do with Covid, posting online: ‘For clarity Olivia did not leave the jungle due to Covid reasons.’

‘She dreamed of doing I’m A Celeb for years and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).

‘You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year. Ps. Who’s going to roast Matt Hancock now?’

Her exit from the show proved all the more shocking after viewers had just seen Olivia skydive out of a plane with fellow co-star Chris Moyles, 48, describing the experience as one of the best days of her life.

Viewers voted Olivia to become the camp’s first VIP member, which saw her sleep on a deserted island before finally arriving in the Australian jungle.

She was ready to tackle the challenges of jungle life head on, telling MailOnline ahead of her stint that she believed the entire experience would suit her, instead of having a detrimental effect on her ADHD.

Olivia said: ‘I’m hoping that the jungle will really suit me because the things that over stimulate me is too much blue light, phone, laptops, TV, caffeine, alcohol, too much sugar, all that stuff in our daily lives makes me a bit wild whereas there’s none of that in the jungle.

‘I love nature and animals so I’m hoping it will have a nice effect on me.’

The star, who found fame on ITV2’s Love Island in 2017, doubted that she could win due to seeing herself as a ‘small fish in a big pond’ but hoped being on the show, which she said had been five years in the making, would open new doors.

She added: ‘I don’t think I’ll win. I have been paving my way over the last five years. I wouldn’t say I’m a household name yet, but this show will expose me to a whole new audience that could go really well, or badly.’
