Olivia Attwood has broken her silence on rumours of a return to I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
The former Love Island star, 32, was thought to be heading back to the jungle this year after being forced to withdraw from the show in 2022 on medical grounds when blood tests showed she had dangerously low potassium levels.
Sources close to the broadcaster admitted they were ‘absolutely disappointed’ at her exit and orchestrated a plan to get the TV personality back in the jungle.
The new series kicks off a week next Sunday, with the likes of Nigel Farage and Nella Rose seen heading to Australia from Heathrow airport this weekend.
But Olivia has now revealed that sadly she won’t be starring on the show this year, writing on Instagram on Sunday: ‘I wasn’t going to talk about anything jungle related because if I’m honest, the way things played out last year still makes my heart hurt… and brain.

‘I have been avoiding Instagram, but the sheer volume of you messaging about the show, commenting and meeting you in person etc I feel like it’s wrong not to speak to you guys.’
She continued: ‘I couldn’t commit to going back this year. It wasn’t the right time for me.
‘There were many things that I had to weigh up, but ultimately the sheer intensity of my schedule doesn’t allow for that much time ‘out of the office…
‘I read all your messages about the show, your support and love I will never ever take for granted.
‘One day I hope when the time is right. We can finish my jungle story.. for you guys and for myself.’
‘Now seems like a good time to let my hair down for a few days. I am burstinggg screaming crying at the seamssss to share with you the tele things I have coming.’
She was seen at Manchester Airport this weekend in a casual grey tracksuit.
It comes after sources said she would not be able to return to I’m A Celeb after landing ‘the opportunity to front a brand-new dating show on ITV.’

Olivia had been tipped to appear on the show after she was left ‘devastated’ when last year the results of a routine medical test forced her to fly home for further tests.
A source previously told MailOnline: ‘Olivia was so upset when she had to suddenly leave the jungle last year… everyone saw how incredibly disappointed she was.
‘She had been in discussions with ITV to return to I’m A Celeb for months, both sides wanted it to work because it was unfair that her time on the show was cut so short when it was always her dream to take part.
‘But the opportunity to front a brand-new dating show on ITV came along and she jumped at the chance.
‘The show is tipped to be the next big dating series since Love Island but centred more around exploring relationships, so it is a real full circle moment for Olivia.
‘She adores presenting but also loves reality television and has never forgotten the platform that Love Island has given her… this new role perfectly marries the two.’
The network’s fondness of the star led to Olivia’s casting on I’m A Celeb, with her becoming the first former Love Island contestant to feature.
But her time in Australia was shorted lived after a medical where she underwent a blood test showed that she was anaemic, causing concern among producers.
After being hurried to a local hospital, it was deemed too risky for Olivia to return to the jungle, where camp mates compete in gruelling trials and survive off rations.
She was forced to deny speculation that she was pregnant or had contracted Covid after the internet was rife with rumours over why she had been suddenly removed from the show.
This year the lineup includes This Morning host Josie Gibson, influencer Nella Rose and broadcaster Grace Dent.
One source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Olivia’s time in the jungle last year was to give her a platform so that ITV could give her a big show.
‘They had a huge future mapped out for her. She’s a big draw for the much-sought-after younger viewers.
‘Then it all came to an end after her blood tests came back.
‘Now they are getting her back for this year and will start the whole plan again. ITV bosses know she will be so popular on I’m A Celeb… and that viewers will just love her.’
In an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday, she said: ‘It felt like the longest journey ever.
‘I was thinking that my blood was normal a month or so ago, so I don’t know what to think.
‘I was wondering if I had picked up a virus, was I pregnant, all these things were going through my head. It was frightening.’

Because of insurance issues, ITV producers deemed her return to last year’s series too high-risk.
The star said: ‘If I went back into the camp, my levels might drop and it could be detrimental to my health and wellbeing … I was absolutely devastated.
‘I’m not a crier but I started to cry. It was emotional. I was heartbroken.’
After appearing on Love Island in 2017, Olivia presented the ITV documentary Getting Filthy Rich about the selling of sexual content on website OnlyFans.
