Norman Reedus poses in newly revealed key art for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon ahead of spinoff series’ highly-anticipated release

New key art for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been revealed and released ahead of the show’s release next month.

An official poster and artwork for the upcoming spinoff series — with actor Norman Reedus, 54, returning as the beloved character, Daryl Dixon — was unveiled by Variety on Wednesday.

In one image, he could be seen bundled up with gear and armed with a spear as he stands in front of a disfigured Eiffel Tower and a nearly obsolete Paris — which is also shown in the teaser trailer released in July.

As he stands atop a hill of rubble and ruin, he looks off into the distance with the catchline above the image reading: ‘Hope is not lost’.

Ahead of the show’s upcoming release, it was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con in July that the show has already renewed and is confirmed to be getting a second season.

Another version of the poster art shows a close-up of a forlorn Daryl with his eyes closed and the silhouette of the city in the background.

Along with Reedus, the series also stars Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.

According to the official description of the show, he somehow ends up in France and ‘struggles to piece together how he got there and why’.

The synopsis continues: ‘The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home.’

‘Ass he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.’

Alongside Reedus, the series will also star Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.

This series will be the second spinoff to the original post-apocalyptic horror drama series as AMC also recently released The Walking Dead: Dead City on June 18.

That series stars beloved characters Maggie — played by Lauren Cohan — and Negan — played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
