Nick Bosa has reportedly agreed to a blockbuster contract with the San Francisco 49ers, making him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.
The five-year, $170million deal – first reported by Adam Schefter – surpasses the average annual value of Aaron Donald ($31.7m).
What’s more, Bosa is receiving $122.5m guaranteed in the contract. This puts him ahead of the previous league-leading $80m given to T.J. Watt of the Steelers in 2017.
Per Schefter, Bosa is getting to Santa Clara as quickly as possible in order to be ready for the Niners opening game of the season at Pittsburgh on September 10.
