A mum has shared the shocking reason behind her crazy pain during the last few months of her pregnancy, revealing that it was her baby’s foot stuck in her ribcage.
The American woman, called Bethany Love, posted on TikTok, where she said she didn’t know what was causing the pain for a while.
But when her baby was born, Bethany soon figured out that it was due to her baby’s misshapen foot.
Bethany’s baby’s foot had been stuck under her ribcage in utero.

The mum shared a series of pictures of herself throughout her pregnancy, the first being when she first felt an ache in her ribs.
She wrote: ‘Gets a really achy rib last months or so of pregnancy’.
Bethany then shared a picture of her pregnant stomach and wrote: ‘Makes joke about having a foot stuck in my ribcage’.
Finally, Bethany shared a photo of her daughter not long after birth.
She added: ‘Turns out I did have a foot stuck in my ribcage. And everyone thought I was being dramatic’.
More than 128,000 people who saw were quick to say they had either had a similar experience during pregnancy or that this was ‘enough to put them off having kids’.
‘Me too! My little boy came out with talipes in both feet. Apparently it’s really easy to adjust with physio,’ one commenter wrote.
Others said they didn’t even know that this could happen.
‘OMG my jaw hit the floor! I didn’t know this could happen! You must have been in agony,’ one person wrote.
Another added: ‘Not me sat here at 36 weeks complaining of constant rib ache. Hope your little one is all healed but thanks for the new found fear’.
Rib pain in pregnancy is usually felt on one side, just under the breast or on the side of your chest.
The pain can sometimes radiate to your back. It usually starts towards the end of the second trimester (around 27 weeks) and into the third trimester (28-40 weeks).
The causes of rib pain include the baby getting bigger, the baby kicking you or changing position, heartburn, inflammation and hormonal changes.
