Neighbours made a cheeky reference to Mischa Barton’s The OC days.
The actress, 37, has a ten week stint on the Amazon soap as the mysterious Reece Sinclair.
In Thursday’s show, eagle-eyed fans noticed a familiar character from Mischa’s past and present in Ramsay Street.
Mischa played Marissa Cooper in the popular noughties teen drama which first hit UK screens two decades ago.
But Mischa isn’t the only Neighbour star who worked on The OC. Alan Dale, who played Paul Robinson’s (Stefan Dennis) dad, Jim, for the first eight years of the iconic soap, also had a pivotal role in the TV drama.

90s: This time, the Amazon production has referenced how not one but two of its stars had regular roles in The OC. Hollywood superstar Mischa plays a key role as Reece Sinclair
The former Channel 5 production could not help but make a reference with Reece staring at a photo of Jim positioned on Paul’s desk.
As soap fans will know, Reece has been somewhat secretive about her purpose in Erinsborough but has recently confided in Byron Stone that she is looking for her missing sister, Krista.
Krista was last seen staying at Lassiters so Byron offered to help as he revealed that CCTV could reveal the registration number of the car she was using at the hotel.
Since Paul once considered him his protégé, Byron had access to his laptop.
Byron snuck into Paul’s office and used his computer while Reece kept watch. It was at this point she spotted the picture.
Reece made the decision to pick up the photograph of Jim, which Paul later noticed wasn’t quite where it was supposed to be.
It comes just weeks after Mischa revealed she still struggles with the ‘trauma’ of dealing with fame at a young age after her days on The OC – and admitted she would still like to settle down.
Mischa starred as a rich and glamorous teenager, Marissa for three years from 2003, with Entertainment Weekly branding her as the ‘It Girl’ of that year.

The role shot a then 17-year-old Mischa to fame and sparked a media frenzy she compared to the dystopian novel The Hunger Games – in which young boys and girls are forced to fight for survival in a public arena – leaving her with post-traumatic stress disorder.
The actress is originally from Hammersmith in London but now divides her time between Los Angeles and New York.
Speaking in a new interview with The Times, the star said: ‘You can go to therapy every day for the rest of your life, but there’s just a certain amount of trauma from all that I went through, particularly in my early twenties, that just doesn’t go away overnight.’
She left the show in 2006 amid claims of bullying and exhaustion from 18-hour filming days for each episode.
Elsewhere in the interview, Mischa discussed her love life, admitting that despite being ‘happily single’ for now, she is ultimately a ‘traditional person’ who would like to settle down.

She continued: ‘I’m happy being single at the moment because it comes up, the whole thing of “Do you wanna settle down and have kids?”
‘I am a weirdly traditional, conventional person when it comes to stuff like that, more so than people think. But it really depends on the person you’re with.’
Neighbours stream Mondays to Thursdays on Amazon Freevee, with new episodes available from 7am.
