Mrs Hinch gives 600K home away to family rent-free after moving into luxurious £1M Essex farmhouse

Cleaning influencer Mrs Hinch, 32, has given up her £600,000 home rent-free to a lucky family after moving into her luxurious Essex Farmhouse.

The Instagram queen of cleaning tips and tricks recently left the property that made her famous to move to a plush pad nearby.

The move came after she made a fortune from her social media platforms, namely her Instagram page which currently boasts 4.5million followers.

The cleaning expert went on to purchase a new million-pound home. However, she claimed that she didn’t need the capital from the sale.

And instead of making a small fortune by renting or selling her beautiful former home in Maldon, Essex, she decided to hand the keys to her family and said she wont be charging them a penny to stay there.

The star along with her husband, Jamie, 42, and their two children, Ronnie and Lennie, and their beloved cocker spaniel Henry, clearly don’t want to say goodbye.

Speaking in a Q&A on her Instagram page, Mrs Hinch told fans: ‘We haven’t sold it – we’re not renting out the house, we are just handing our keys over to an incredible family to start a new chapter in their lives so they too can build a life they have also dreamed of.’

‘To even be in a position to do this is something I’ll never truly believe and never stop being thankful for.

‘But personally, for me to see another family have some relief and happiness in their life that they deserved because they have been through so much is one of the most incredible feelings in the world.’

Sophie Hinchcliffe, also known as Mrs Hinch, is reportedly worth £1.5 million.

Sophie has also been renovating the five-bedroom home after announcing she was moving into the property earlier this year.

Keeping her fans up to date with the work, she has showcased several images of the completed rooms in her home, including the stunning master bedroom featuring a four-poster bed.

While she has also showed images of her chic family bathroom with its neutral toned and freestanding bath, while little Ronnie’s farm-themed bedroom is also complete.

And after welcoming three alpacas – Rodney, Rodney and Roy – to her family, Sophie is set to expand Hinch Farm even more with the introduction of rescue hens.

The star shared on Instagram snaps and videos of their new hen house, with Sophie clearly excited about the new additions.

Sophie recently made sure to take some time to thank her fans, writing on Instagram, ‘Thank you all for following our journey from the beginning to now, it’s been an adventure to say the least. Please know I see you all. Forever grateful.’

Mrs Hinch and her family moved into the new five-bedroom abode earlier this year following a clash with her neighbour over an extension on her former home.

The influencer addressed the drama in an Instagram story after a fan questioned why she was moving, with Sophie hinting that the endless photos that she posted of her ‘happy’ home and family belie a very different story.

‘A lot goes on behind closed doors,’ she wrote. ‘I won’t go into too much detail because I wouldn’t want to give any satisfaction to the cruel person/people involved.

‘But Jamie had wanted to move for a while, due to a privacy issue which came about after we had extended the house.

‘But I was in such a mess because I didn’t want to move. I was crying to him, saying this is my home, I didn’t want to lose it . . . I was in a really really low place.’

‘So I promised him I could fix it, hence my weird basketball net looking trees which you may have noticed in my stories at some points. Also new panelled fencing with no holes and a crazy CCTV system. I really did my best behind-the-scenes guys but it wasn’t enough in the end.

‘Jamie was right. I was putting plasters over things and from that day I felt like I lost my home and I was in a really really low place. But everything happens for a reason doesn’t it.’

She added: ‘If only some people know how much their selfish actions effect (sic) others. But they will not win! I will always love this house, but I will make Hinch Farm our forever home, where the boys will be so safe, and we will feel comfortable again.’

At the time her words mystified residents living near her original Hinch Home. ‘It’s a friendly little area here and I was surprised when I saw that she felt like she’d been picked on,’ said one.

Another added: ‘They’re lovely people and I feel upset that she’s felt the need to move out.’

While a third insisted: ‘She’s not been forced out. She’s made a lot of money and moved into a bigger house.’

As for invasions of privacy, it is said that during the planning process for the extension, concerns were raised — by a homeowner who feared the new building would be ‘intrusive’ and overlook his house and garden.

In 2019, Sophie and Jamie applied to the local council to extend the house at the rear.

Permission was initially denied on the grounds of the planned extension’s excessive size. New plans for a scaled-down version were quickly re-submitted.

A neighbour lodged a formal objection. ‘The proposed extension will be intrusive upon the enjoyment of the neighbouring garden and privacy,’ he wrote.

‘The house already overlooks the neighbouring back garden and bedroom, from their bedroom windows and side windows, and the extension will make this worse.’

Despite this objection, permission was granted — on condition that one of the new windows was glazed with opaque glass to address the neighbour’s concerns.

The extension went up quickly, with Mrs Hinch posting regular updates on the work.

And following her initial joy at the bigger space, Sophie shocked fans at the start of this year when she announced plans to move home.

Telling the story behind the purchase, she said: ‘Truth is, my parents and I have been driving past this house since I was 11. And we always said to each other, we wonder who lives in there, we even used to imagine living here and what we could do if we ever did.’

Reiterating her plans to gift the home to family, Sophie said at the time: ‘We have decided to keep this home within our family.

‘To be able to help our family this way is something I have never been able to do in my life. It’s a home they’ve always dreamed of and I know it will be loved, AND I can even nip us back here for a cuppa everyday. Ok now I’m crying again.’
