Miranda Kerr reveals her day on a plate and the very surprising treat she likes to indulge in

She was the first Australian supermodel to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel, walking in six shows from 2006 to 2012 before hanging up her wings to concentrate on other work commitments and her Kora Organics skincare line.

And Miranda Kerr says these days she has to work harder than ever to stay in shape after having three children.

Miranda and her husband Evan Spiegel, the founder of Snapchat, share two sons – Hart, four, and Myles, two – and she has a son Flynn, 11, with ex-husband Orlando Bloom.

Miranda Kerr has revealed her day on a plate and the very surprising treat she likes to indulge in

Speaking on The Skinny Confidential podcast, the 39-year-old said she works out most days and follows a very healthy diet.

She explained she likes to move her body ‘at least six days a week’ and goes for an hour walk on the treadmill while her children are napping.

She starts every day with 32 ounces (946ml) of room temperature water with lemon, followed by the same amount of cold pressed celery juice as it is ‘alkalising for your system’.

Next up during her daily routine is a detox smoothie for the whole family using a recipe from Medical Medium, which includes blueberries, coriander, spirulina, barley grass juice powder, Atlantic dulse – a sea vegetable – bananas and an orange.

She also enjoys sweet potato hash with boiled eggs, cauliflower, soup and grilled fish.

And for a treat, she enjoys a tequila shot mixed with coconut water.

Elsewhere in the interview, Miranda said she still counts many of her fellow VS Angels as her best friends.

The brunette bombshell, who rose to prominence modelling for the iconic underwear brand in 2007, said she had ‘the most fun’ on swimwear trips with the American lingerie brand.

‘They all work really hard,’ Miranda said.

‘All the girls I worked with – Alessandra [Ambrosio], Lily Aldridge is one of my best friends.

‘It was the most fun trips, we used to go on the swim trips.’

She also explained how she first came in contact with the brand after ‘accidentally’ falling into a modelling career after winning a contest in Australia.

‘When I was 16, I went on a student exchange programme to Virginia,’ she explained.

‘I had a woman named Megan, she came to Australia and stayed in a little country town. And I went there and stayed in a place called Tazewell.’

She said they then travelled the country to give her an experience of what America was like, including a trip to a Victoria Secret’s store.

‘And I remember looking around going “wow, this is like something I’ve never seen before, this is like a Wonderland for girls”,’ she explained.

‘I thought “this is cute and sexy and fun and flirty”. To me there was such an innocence and purity to it, even though it was still sexy.’
