A new poster for Millie Bobby Brown’s next film was released by Netflix on Tuesday.
The latest look at Damsel shows the title character dressed in torn and tattered finery standing in a mountain cave with the shadow of a dragon looming.
It was also announced that the film will be released in 2024.
Damsel was supposed to have been released in October, but has been pushed back to some time in 2024, due to delays in production caused by not only the actors’ work stoppage, but the recently settled writers strike.
The film’s synopsis reads: ‘A young woman agrees to marry a handsome prince only to discover it was all a trap. She is thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and must rely solely on her wits and will to survive.’
The director is Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

This comes the same day the streamer teased the opening scene of Stranger Things season five, the show that made the 19-year-old actress a household name.
Production on the highly anticipated final season of the beloved series has been delayed due to the ongoing actors strike.
Millie was slammed for saying she was ready to end the show.
‘When you’re ready, you’re like, “All right, let’s do this. Let’s tackle this last senior year. Let’s get out of here,”‘ the star told Glamour.
The frustrated star said the series ‘takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So I’m ready to say, “Thank you, and goodbye.”‘
Some fans of the sci-fi show didn’t take kindly to Millie’s comments, and made some of their own.
‘Imagine being this ungrateful to the role that gave you fame and pays you millions,’ complained one.
‘I hate celebs who don’t appreciate the projects that gave them the name,’ contended another.
Others understood her need to move on.
‘I want that for her,’ a sympathetic fan wrote. ‘She should move on and not just be known as Eleven.’

Goodbye: Millie was 12 when Stranger Things debuted on Netflix, and is anxious for the series finale, explaining it ‘takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So I’m ready to say, “Thank you, and goodbye”‘
A new trailer for the action film was expected to be released on Saturday, November 11 according the the Netflix Instagram account.
‘This is NOT a fairytale. Millie Bobby Brown stars in Damsel. Check out the teaser trailer drop this Saturday at #geekedweek!’ the post advised.
The studio’s description of the project says it focuses on ‘A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.’
The news keeps getting better for Millie’s fans.
Collider reported Tuesday that Netflix is game for a third film in the Enola Holmes franchise.
The Emmy nominee stars as the little sister of detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill, in the action series about a smart and resourceful teenage girl who wants to flout Victorian society and solve her own cases.
Netflix Head of Film Scott Stuber told the outlet, ‘The Holmes IP is weirdly elastic.’
He explained saying ‘Warner Bros. did an incredible job with [Robert] Downey and Jude Law, [as Holmes and Watson] so this idea that we can extend that IP with her is exciting.
‘We’re working once again on a screenplay to try to get that. But yes, aspiration. I’d like to do another one.’
In production notes released by Netflix for Enola Holmes 2, the actress and producer said she relates more to the young detective than to her character, Eleven, in Stranger Things, explaining they are ‘both very similar, quite dry and brutally honest, and the fact that I can relate to Enola helps me to constantly add more things to her because as I grow, Enola does.’
Enola 3: Netflix is rumored to be hoping for a third Enola Holmes film. The actress says she finds the character more relatable. ‘Eleven in Stranger Things is so far beyond who I am, while Enola feels like I’m coming back to a place of normality and consistency’
Sister: In the Enola franchise, Millie stars as the younger sister of detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill, and who uses her own talents of deduction for solving mysteries
She continued, ‘Eleven in Stranger Things is so far beyond who I am, while Enola feels like I’m coming back to a place of normality and consistency.’
‘I’m able to really create her character organically… Of course, there are times when [director] Harry Bradbeer comes up to me and says: “Now is that Millie or Enola?” And I go: “That’s Millie, let’s do it again!”‘
Another of the actress’ anticipated projects is expected to be released after the new year.
The Electric State, co-starring Chris Pratt, is also expected debut on Netflix sometime in 2024.
