Love Island’s Catherine Agbaje and Scott van-der-Sluis refused to deny a romance between the pair during the reunion show on Sunday night.
Catherine and Scott were a solid couple before this year’s Casa Amor but she returned from her time apart from Scott with bombshell Elom Ahlijah-Wilson, leaving Scott fighting back tears and their union in tatters.
However, after Catherine and Elom decided to split and remain friends soon after they returned to the UK following their villa dumping last month, Scott and Catherine are said to have slid into each other’s DMs.
The pair were quizzed by Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson on the status of their relationship during Love Island: The Reunion this weekend while Elom was awkwardly sat right next them.
Scott said: ‘We’re in a good place with it. We were friends before Catherine left the villa.’

‘It was actually a hard time. As easy as it looked it wasn’t. Even speaking to other Islanders today, they literally said Casa Amor was the hardest part.’
She insisted they would have been the couple to beat of they had all just stayed in the same villa for the series.
Catherine said: ‘I wish we just had our villa life. It just felt as if like we were the couple to ruin. I don’t know if you get me. Let me not talk too much. Catch me at the reunion.’

In a Streetcam clip posted on Twitter, one eagle-eyed fan noticed a romantic montage of the pair made a 15-second cameo on a billboard on 1568 Broadway.
The video sent many fans into a frenzy as they lauded the fact that Scott and Catherine had reached global exposure, even though neither of them even made it to the final.
The TSX Broadway screen is available for fans to rent for a small fee, with users able to send in a 15-second video through an app in the hope that they’ll make an appearance.
Posting a video of the loved-up edit, the fan tweeted: ‘SOMEONE PAID TO HAVE A SCOTT AND CATHERINE EDIT PLAY IN TIMES SQUARE NYC IM SCREAMING!!’
Catherine and Elom went their separate ways just days after leaving the villa, with insiders claiming it was ‘over before it even really started’.
Fan favourites: Their romance was formed during Casa Amor, with Catherine opting to recouple rather than stick with Scott van-der-Sluis
It’s the latest shock twist to befall the couple after they were suddenly evicted two weeks ago in an extremely abrupt and unexpected dumping.
A source told The Sun: ‘The pair struggled to make it work in the real world and barely saw each other since the show ended.
‘They kept up a bit of a pretence, while they did the podcast circuit, but everyone knew it was over before it even really started.
‘Catherine’s sister made no secret about her feelings towards Elom so it’s no surprise she cooled things off straight away.’
