Fitness star Laura Henshaw’s husband Dalton Graham is hailed as a ‘legend’ for breaking with tradition and taking his wife’s last name


Keep It Clean co-founder Laura Henshaw’s husband Dalton Graham has been applauded by fans for taking his wife’s last name. 

The glamorous couple wed on Friday during a stunning ceremony in Victoria’s Yarra Valley, and had hinted at Dalton’s name-change by using the social media hashtag #meetthehenshaws. 

On Monday, Dalton finally confirmed on Instagram that he had indeed taken his wife’s last name, prompting an outpouring of praise from fans labelling him a ‘legend’ for flouting tradition.

‘Yup! You are ahead of your time,’ one fan gushed. 

‘I don’t really know you, but I’m pretty sure you’re a legend. What a man,’ another fan agreed. 

Someone else added: ‘I love this! So progressive and said with such candour. The world could use more people who are not afraid to follow their hearts and challenge context and dichotomy,’

Explaining his decision to take Lauren’s last name, Dalton wrote on Instagram: ‘You can still call me Dalton, Dalt, Dolphin, whatever you like… I’m still the same me and always will be.’ 

‘I’m just going to sign off one chapter and start another with my beautiful, driven and inspirational wife by my side as Mr Henshaw.’ 

While Dalton’s decision to break with tradition seems to be his way of expressing love and respect for his wife, he also hinted he didn’t like his surname Graham.

‘P.S. mildly excited to break the shackles of two first names #TheHenshaws,’ he said.
