Broadway icon Kristin Chenoweth, 55, married her country musician fiancé Josh Bryant, 41, nearly two years after their engagement.
The couple tied the knot at a private home in Dallas at a romantic ceremony with a star-studded guest list including David Foster and Katharine McPhee, Kathy Najimy and High School Musical director Kenny Ortega.
Kristin, who is famous for her love of the color pink, opted for a nude-and-pink Pamela Rolland wedding dress she described as ‘Simple and elegant.’
Explaining that she ‘didn’t want to wear white,’ she told People: ‘I never thought I’d get married, so I went very nontraditional with the gown. I love it.’
Josh and Kristin, who are both devout Christians, exchanged ‘a form of traditional vows’ – ‘But I’m not saying: ‘Obey!” the bride laughed.

She accepted his proposal in October 2021 after he presented her with a diamond Halo ring at the iconic Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center.
Kristin was previously engaged to her fellow Broadway actor Marc Kudisch from 1998 until 2001, two years before she achieved new heights of stardom in Wicked.
After they broke their engagement, Kristin dated a variety of showbiz names including Seth Green and Aaron Sorkin.
Josh Bryant, the guitarist for a country band called Backroad Anthem, was first linked to Kristin in the media back in 2018.
Upon accepting his proposal, she told Vogue: ‘I’ve been the runaway bride. Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar.’
Now, after their wedding, she confessed: ‘I have been a self-proclaimed bachelorette my whole life. I was never going to get married.’
She recalled: ‘I even got engaged before and couldn’t do it. Until I met Josh. Then I was like: ‘Why would I ever let this guy go?’ I’m so blessed.’
Their rehearsal dinner, held at Dallas’ tony restaurant The Capital Grille, featured a bespoke cake that came from Baskin-Robbins.

Then, during the day on Saturday, came their heavily pink-themed wedding, which was performed by a personal friend of the couple’s.
The nuptials played host to a 140-strong guest list including LGBT activist Chely Wright, Broadway composer Andrew Lippa and Glee alum Jennifer Aspen.
Kristin and Josh’s loved ones arrived to the gentle accompaniment of a string quartet playing from a balcony – only for the tenor of the music to drastically change.
The AC/DC classic Thunderstruck began to play as the couple’s dog and ring bearer Thunder made his entrance, kicking off the ceremony.
Then the bride’s friends and fellow stage actresses Marissa Rosen, Crystal Monee Hall, Nikki Kimbrough, and Melinda Doolittle took their cue to begin.
As a quartet, they sang the Celine Dion-Andrea Bocelli classic The Prayer, arranged specially for this wedding by Kristin’s musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell.
That musical selection was a tip of the hat to the couple’s Christianity – a touch Kristin noted was ‘really important to us.’
The ceremony unfolded amid largely pink décor, of which the bridegroom dryly remarked: ‘Without having to even ask Kristin, I knew that the theme would probably be pink-oriented in some way.’
Origin story: Although they became an item in 2018, Kristin actually met Josh two years earlier when Backroad Anthem played her niece’s wedding; pictured in 2021
Before the nuptials, Kristin explained: ”On that day, I want to look and feel like Kristin, and I want Josh to see the girl that he has been with for five years. I’m going to look glamorous and all that, but my hair isn’t going to be up to heaven, even though we’ll be in Texas. It’s going to look like me.’
However the groom fondly chuckled: ‘Don’t let her fool you. Normal to Kristin is like 110%,’ referring to the extravagant personality her fans know and love.
After the ceremony, they had their pals Ty Herndon and Toby Freeman sing I Can’t Help Falling In Love for the newlyweds’ first dance.
Before the wedding Josh dished that the couple, who come from the music world and have lots of friends therein, would have ‘a little jam session’ at the reception.
‘We’re going to have a DJ and everything,” he clarified: ‘but I wanted to have just a time where there’s instruments set up and where all of our friends, if we just want to get up there, and play for a little while. Not just a big jam type thing.’
The partiers enjoyed a ‘southern comfort’ dinner with such menu items as beef tenderloin and fried pickles, washed down with themed cocktails like a ‘Wicked Margarita,’ a ‘Thundertini’ and a ‘Bryant Old Fashioned.’
Although the wedding cake itself was pull-out-the-stops opulent – a five-tiered Mexican vanilla bean affair – the late-night munchies provided afterwards included Kristin’s homier delights, 7-Eleven Slurpees and Dunkin Donuts.

Two years later, Backroad Anthem played her nephew’s wedding, facilitating the burgeoning chemistry. that flowered into a romance.
‘We had become friends by this time, and that’s when he came on strong. Josh asked me where I was going to be playing next, and it was North Carolina,’ she affectionately remembered. ‘I said: ‘I’m busy. I don’t have time, da, da, da.’ And he shows up to the concert and that was it for me.’
Kristin reflected that they happened to strike up their relationship at ‘the right time. God knew what he was doing with that. Josh is 14 years younger than me, and I thought that was ridiculous. I’m never going to do that in my life, ever. But he’s made me feel very confident and beautiful and loved at any age.’
Their bond grew even stronger after Kristin ‘fell apart’ after the death of one of her closest friends, whom she lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘And when you go through these things in life with someone and they show up for you in the biggest way, you can’t buy that. He’s my rock,’ she said.
‘When we first met, I knew there was something special,’ said Josh. ‘I always go back to that. When you just have that feeling when you first see somebody.’
