The 26-year-old Oscar nominee proposed to his love on a beautiful rooftop in their hometown of Melbourne on Friday.

As they overlooked the gorgeous skyline, an insider revealed that’s when the Slow West star ‘got down on one knee and proposed.’
For the special moment, Smit-McPhee wore a black blazer, matching pants and white sneakers.

The duo made their red carpet debut at Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in June 2014, then later were seen attending Sundance Film Festival together in January 2015.
In March 2015, she appeared on his Instagram for the first time.
Multiple sources report that the pair have known each other seen high school, and she first shared a photo with him in 2013, before making her account private.
Smit-McPhee, who earned an Academy Award nomination for his role in 2021’s The Power of the Dog, made his acting debut in Romulus, My Father when he was just 11.
