Kim Kardashian CUT jokes from her SNL sketch about Kanye West split

Kim Kardashian panicked and cut certain jokes about her divorce from Kanye West from her Saturday Night Live monologue, it has been revealed.

Speaking on The Kardashians episode 2, the reality star, 41, was preparing for the show which aired last October where she read out unheard lines from the script.

One joke which didn’t make the final cut featured Kanye who was impersonated by Chris Redd asking Kim – who was studying for the bar – to be his lawyer in their divorce.

Change of heart: Kim Kardashian panicked and cut certain jokes about her divorce from Kanye West from her Saturday Night Live monologue, it has been revealed

The cut line from Kanye went: ‘Ok fine you can divorce me but I need a lawyer, will you be my lawyer fam?’

Kim then would have replied: ‘No Kanye!’ to which he would have retorted: ‘Fine and you’re not getting a penny, I have the prenup right here!’

Discussing cutting joke with producers during rehearsals the day before the show, Kim said: ‘I am always afraid of hurting people’s feelings.

‘I would never go in there making fun of anyone, especially the father of my kids. Just because we didn’t work out doesn’t mean we don’t have a great love and respect for each other.’

She added: ‘The divorce is so sensitive for him and I’m already saying some in the monologue so I don’t want to make it bad. Maybe I can talk to Chris (Redd) and make it more funny as it is super sensitive for him.

‘I know he wants to be a part of it but let’s be careful.’

SNL producer Lindsay Shookus then said to Kim: ‘It is not unusual for us to make line changes so we can sort it before the night.’

It is possible that the sketch in question was ‘The People’s Kourt,’ in which Kim impersonated sister Kourtney Kardashian and presided over their family’s issues.

While Chris did impersonate Kanye, there was no mention of the divorce in that part.

Instead, the SNL writers poked fun at some of Kanye’s more memorable tweets.

However in her opening monologue Kim did discuss Kanye, saying: ‘I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America.

‘A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids. So, when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to one thing: his personality.’

Kim shares kids North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, two, with Kanye who she filed for divorce from in February 2021.

Kim is now dating fellow SNL star Pete Davidson while Kim has recently been spotted with Kim lookalike Chaney Jones.

Elsewhere on episode 2 Kim learns about the possibility of new footage from her infamous sex tape being released and threatens to, ‘burn them all to the f***ing ground’.

Kim learned about the possible new sex tape leak when her son Saint, six, spotted an ad for new footage while playing online game Roblox, during the premiere, with the second episode picking up directly after it, as she asks her celebrity lawyer Marty Singer to handle it.

She must put this distraction behind her as she prepares to make her hosting debut on SNL, and while she’s in New York City, Khloe battles with anxiety before an interview with James Corden.

In other scenes Travis Barker reveals his plans to propose to Kourtney.
