Katie Price covers up in nun’s habit to reveal she’s joining Only Fans

She’s facing a probe into her finances but that hasn’t stopped Katie Price launching a new business venture – an OnlyFans page.

The star made the announcement at a press conference on Wednesday, but ditched her usual flesh-flashing look for a nun’s habit and sash reading ‘My body my rules’.

Following a string of headline-grabbing incidents including an arrest on Friday on suspicion of breaching a restraining order, Katie, 44, poked fun at her bad girl image with the statement look.

Sister Katie! Katie Price has announced a new business venture – an OnlyFans page. The star made the announcement at a press conference on Wednesday, arriving at the event dressed in a nun’s habit and wearing a sash reading ‘My body my rules’

While the media-savvy star, who arrived uncharacteristically on time to the event, invited press, she refused to answer questions. Her fiancé Carl Woods watched on, dressed in a tracksuit, amid claims the couple are on the brink of calling off their wedding.

Katie promises her OnlyFans page will include glamour shots but will also ‘be about 100% body positivity.’

In a statement, she said: ”I want to make a stand for all women and my OnlyFans channel will be about 100% body positivity.’

‘I see my OnlyFans channel as a place I can feel secure, confident, empowered and beautiful. Yes there will be some glamorous shots, because as everyone knows I love being in front of the camera! But, most importantly, this will be a place for me to share my world and my adventures with my closest supporters in my own authentic voice.’

The statement said that Katie’s OnlyFans page ‘will be a safe space to be creative on her own terms as well as connect with her most loyal and engaged followers. A place where she can talk about what is really going on in her life, as well as sharing select images and content to those special fans.’

Katie’s new venture will no doubt be a welcome boost to her financial woes. The mum of five is currently facing a probe into her finances, and how she affords a life of luxury despite being in millions of pounds of debt.

A source recently claimed there are concerns that Katie may not been paying creditors fully, despite raking in heaps of cash from TV and brand deals, the Mirror reports.

They said concerned parties are ‘casting the net far and wide to assess how much money is coming into Katie’s coffers’ and are preparing a dossier of deals Katie, who is in £3.2 million of debt, has made recently ahead of a court meeting in February.

In November it was reported that her hearing had been rescheduled, giving her more time to pay back her debts to creditors, after failing to take out an individual voluntary arrangement to pay back £12,000 of her debts.

Two years have passed since Katie was declared bankrupt, having failed to stump up the £12,000 a month she owed her creditors.

They are believed to include HMRC and her mortgage company, as well as her first two husbands, Peter Andre and former cage fighter Alex Reid, who both sued her; the latter after she played a sexually explicit video clip of him to a TV audience in 2018.

Yet Katie has remained as cocky as ever, proclaiming in a YouTube video last year that she would be bankrupt for a year ‘then start afresh again. It doesn’t stop me. I’m still working. Still earning. I just want it to hurry up so I can look forward to the end of the 12 months. I’m a survivor’.

Despite her parlous financial state, she still has extensive business interests. Aside from her equestrian clothing business, she has her own ranges of make-up, skincare and fragrance. And while she is banned from being a company director because of her bankruptcy, in 2020 a new company called Priceywoods Ltd was registered in her fiance’s name.

OnlyFans was launched six years ago, the brainchild of banker’s son Timothy Stokely, in his own words a ‘British entrepreneur in the adult entertainment industry’.

Unlike Instagram or Facebook, OnlyFans allows content ‘creators’ to post content and receive payment directly from their followers, or ‘fans’ via subscriptions or one-off tips.

In August last year, OnlyFans announced plans to ban sexually explicit photographs and videos on its platform but were forced to make major U-turn after an intense backlash from creators.

Some Twitter users speculated that the whole thing had been a huge publicity stunt, but OnlyFans insisted that it had ‘suspended’ the change having ‘secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community’.

The platform is predominantly used by sex workers – many of whom joined during the pandemic when in-person adult venues shut – but a number of celebrities, musicians and comedians also use it for non-sexual content.

Creators receive 80 per cent commission on their earnings, while the remaining 20 per cent goes to the company, covering ‘referral payments, payment processing, hosting, support, and all other services’.
