Kanye West’s pals believe controversial Conservative commentator Candace Owens has been ‘influencing him’ amid the furore over their White Lives Matter shirts, according to a new report.
TMZ claims friends of the 45-year-old rapper believe Kanye and Candace had been planning to wear White Lives Matter shirts at the Yeezy Paris Fashion Week show ‘for weeks’ – but Candace, 33, called the allegations ‘patently false.’
The pair ignited controversy across the world last week when they donned black sweatshirts with the WLM slogan written across it – a response to the Black Lives Matter movement that was founded in 2013 following the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman.
Sources claimed to the publication that Candace has been acting as the star’s ‘chief advisor in his day-to-day life’ and voiced their belief she would ‘run him into the ground.’

It was also alleged that Candace has been setting up calls, meetings and appearances on Kanye’s behalf.
TMZ claims that people close to Kanye, who have distanced himself from the star amid the controversy and his anti-Semitic remarks, say he’s ‘in a bad space mentally’.
The sources add that it’s ‘unclear’ if Candace is getting paid to be an advisor, saying: ‘Anyone taking money from him is taking advantage of him’- while questioning if he was getting any advice.
Candace later hit back at the allegations, saying she had ‘no idea’ she would be wearing the shirt until she arrived at the show.

She added: ‘I am grateful to have been by his side for such an iconic moment which fostered a much needed national conversation. Also patently false is the idea that I am working for Ye as an advisor or that I have made any calls on his behalf. If it isn’t yet clear, Ye has never had any problem speaking out.’
Dailymail.com has contacted representatives for Kanye West for comment.
Embattled star Kanye has been swept into a storm of controversy since the White Lives Matter incident and amid his recent anti-Semitic remarks.
Fashion models in the rapper’s show also wore clothing with the message written across it while Kanye’s daughter North West, nine, was also roped into the event.
Also among those who modeled West’s new design in Paris was Bob Marley’s granddaughter, Selah Marley. Selah is the daughter of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley.
The move is another in West’s distancing himself from the mainstream of black politics.
Famously in 2005, West made international news when he appeared on a telethon for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and declared: ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people.’

Since then however, Kanye has aligned himself with right-wing figures such as Owens, as well as former President Donald Trump, regularly sporting a Make America Great Again baseball hat in public.
During a May 2018 interview regarding his support of Trump, West said: ‘Racism isn’t the deal-breaker for me. If that was the case, I wouldn’t live in America.’
‘I am Ye, and everyone here knows that I am the leader,’ West, 43, said at the event while referencing his new legal name, adding: ‘You can’t manage me.’
It is not the first time that Ye has stoked controversy surrounding race, after saying in 2018 that he thought 400 years of slavery ‘was a choice.’
The Anti-Defamation League has previously called the phrase ‘White Lives Matter’ a hate slogan.
The slogan worn on West and Owens’ shirts has previously been used by the Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacist organizations as an attack against the Black Lives Matter movement and Black people more broadly.
Support: Bob Marley’s granddaughter was among those who modeled West’s new design in Paris
In April 2018, West drew huge criticism when he tweeted: ‘I love the way Candace Owens thinks.’
The same month, West caused major controversy when he said during an appearance on TMZ: ‘When you hear about slavery for 400 years … for 400 years? That sounds like a choice. You were there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all. It’s like we’re mentally imprisoned.’
West later apologized for those remarks but also described them as an example of ‘free thought.’
During the TMZ appearance, West was confronted over his comments by one of the show’s producers, Van Lathan.
In response to West’s White Lives Matter sweater, Lathan wrote on Instagram: ‘We don’t need a reminder of the worth of white lives. America is a shrine to the worth of white people.’
He went on: ‘This message is reactionary to a message affirming the worth of Black lives, which have never been worth anything in America. In its intent, it’s a white supremacist notion.’
Lathan continued: ‘Because it posits that we can’t have a conversation about the worth of Black people without having a conversation about the worth of white people, which is f***ing insane.’
Bringing his family into it: Kanye’s daughter North West, nine, was seen at the event. She was part of a group of children who marched in a circle and sang
The producer concluded: ‘The notion that it ALWAYS has to be about white people in America is incredibly frustrating, emotional draining, and the whole problem. But here’s Kanye, apparently centering that notion.’
In the hip-hop community, outspoken rapper Boosie Badazz, who famously bragged about paying prostitutes to perform oral sex on his son, then 12, and nephew, then, 13, called out West
Boosie said: ‘After all we been through as a race you put this disrespectful s**t on? U give no f**ks about how blacks have died n suffered to the hands of the white man n u say Bush don’t like black people… really n****a.’
While Temple University Professor Marc Lamont Hill tweeted the picture of West together with Owens and wrote: ‘Kanye West decision to wear a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt is disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible. Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why…’
Former ESPN presenter Jemele Hill said: ‘So many folks are trying to excuse Kanye wearing a white lives matter t-shirt as just a troll move or marketing. Maybe it is.’
She went on: ‘But it’s a dangerously dumb message to send for someone with his massive platform. I been off dude. But y’all go ahead labeling his foolishness as genius.’
Sighting: TMZ claims that people close to Kanye, who have distanced himself from the star amid the controversy and his anti-Semitic remarks, say he’s ‘in a bad space mentally’ ) seen on Weds with L-R: Ray J, Colby Covington, and Candace0
Will Smith’s son, Jaden, tweeted: ‘I can’t stand behind what Kanye’s saying. He doesn’t have the full support of the youth.’ He followed that up with a simple: ‘Black Lives Matter.’
According to Page Six, West gave a speech to the crowd while wearing the garment, and referenced his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery in 2016, where she was held at gunpoint, as well as his fallout with clothing giant Gap.
West’s latest appearance with Owens is particularly surprising, as she called his ex Kim a ‘prostitute’ on her Daily Wire show in September after Kardashian’s ex Ray J claimed she and her mother Kris Jenner had released their sex tape in a calculated manner, ‘like an album.’
Although the producer and fashion star has feuded publicly with Kardashian over her parenting and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson, he has expressed an ongoing desire to get back together with her for months.
Owens has previously been critical of the NAACP, the Black Lives Matter movement, has referred to Covid-19 as a scam, and has claimed that white supremacy is not a pressing issue in society.
The denial from Owens comes after both Kanye and Kim’s ex Ray J had an unlikely reunion Wednesday night at the Nashville premiere of her new documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM.
Shock: Hours earlier, Owens tweeted a letter sent to Kanye by JP Morgan Chase telling him to take his business elsewhere.
Friendly embrace: Sources told TMZ that Owens worked to orchestrate the Ray J, Kanye reunion at the premiere as a sort of dig at Kim Kardashian, who she recently called a prostitute on her show
At the event, West posed on the red carpet with his ex-wife’s sex-tape partner rapper Ray-J, as well as Kid Rock.
Sources told TMZ that Owens worked to get both West and Ray-J to the premiere as an attempted slight at their mutual ex, Kim.
Hours earlier, Owens tweeted a letter sent to Kanye by JP Morgan Chase telling him to take his business elsewhere.
The bank has not commented on the letter, nor confirmed its reasons for ending their relationship. Kanye – who remains banned from social media – said at the event that it was time to talk about being ‘canceled by a bank’.
He also insisted that his inflammatory promise to go ‘death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE’ wasn’t anti-Semitic, and said he was just ‘calling out bad business’.
As he left the premiere, West reportedly addressed his recent online ramblings that appeared to target the Jewish community.
Canceled: Kanye promised to ‘go death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE’ in a shocking tweet earlier this week
He told Page Six: ‘If you call somebody out for bad business, that means you’re being anti-Semitic.
‘I feel happy to have crossed the line of that idea so we can speak openly about things like getting canceled by a bank.’
West was also spotted at the premiere consorting with Project Veritas founder and guerilla journalist James O’Keefe.
The movie is Owens’ revealing investigation into the Black Lives Matter organization and how it has allocated the tens of millions of dollars amassed in recent years in the name of right racial injustice across the country.
The premiere saw Kanye double down on his anti-Semitic tweet and claimed he was just ‘calling out bad business’ when he promised to go ‘death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE’.
The rapper, who has a history of mental illness, said: ‘Do you think that the comment came just out of the blue? I do feel that in Hollywood when, especially with black entertainers, I’ve had a lot of bad experiences.
West further fanned the flames after dismissing Black Lives Matter, the social movement created to protest social and racial injustices aimed at his own community, via his Instagram page
‘People use the anti-Semite idea to cover up bad business. To say if you call someone out on bad business then you’re being anti-Semitic.
‘So I feel happy to have crossed the line of that idea so that we can speak openly about things like getting canceled from the bank.’
The reunion took place just hours after Owens shared a screenshot of an email sent to Kanye West by JP Morgan Chase that tells the music and fashion mogul he will have to find a different establishment at which to bank the Yeezy Empire.
The purported note from Chase Bank reads, ‘We are sending this letter to confirm our recent discussion with (name block) that JPMorgan Chase Bank…has decided to end its banking relationship with Yeezy, LLC and its affiliated entities.’
The note does not provide a reason for the termination of the customer agreement and says West and his colleagues have until November 21 of this year to transfer accounts elsewhere.
Owens, a conservative commentator and host of a show on Ben Shapiro’s The DailyWire, said the move by JPMorgan Chase is emblematic of the country reaching an ‘extremely frightening time.’
‘Who are [sic] what has landed us in to these times is an ongoing discussion which I would like to open up.
‘Tonight I am focusing on my BLM documentary premiere. We will revisit this crucial topic tomorrow,’ she wrote.
News of West’s ban from Chase comes soon after Motherboard leaked an unaired clip from his interview with Tucker Carlson, which heard him saying Planned Parenthood was created to ‘control the Jew populations’ through eugenics.
Owens shared her thoughts Wednesday evening about the purported corporate cancelation of Kanye by Chase Bank
‘When I say Jew, I mean the 12 lost tribes of Judah, the blood of Christ, who the people known as the race black really are,’ he added. ‘This is who our people are. The blood of Christ. This, as a Christian, is my belief.’
The clip was notably absent from the interview when it aired on Fox News last week.
Nevertheless, the aired portions of West’s interview remained rife with bizarre statements, including a suggestion that his children had been replaced with ‘professional actors’ in his home to ‘sexualize my kids.’
He also pushed the anti-Semitic trope about Jewish people being good with money, saying ‘I prefer my kids knew Hanukkah than Kwanzaa. At least it will come with some financial engineering,’ before chuckling.
