On his Instagram account, Timbaland, 51, shared a video from the studio in which he and Justin share the final version of Keep Going Up with Nelly over FaceTime.
After some small talk, Timbaland tells Nelly, ‘This record is amazing. Do you want to hear it?’
‘I do.’ answered the Canadian crooner.
The video shares the first few bars of the soon-to-be hit with the trio singing ‘I keep going, I keep going, I keep going up.’
It then quickly cuts away with Nelly telling her collaborators ‘I like the ending. That’s hot. Wow I like that.’
Timbaland told her ‘you sound good girl.’ Nelly then share her own compliment saying ‘You sound good Justin, wow, I like what you did.’
After thanking her, Justin said, ‘you know what’s crazy to me? You sound like you mixed Promiscuous with Say It Right energy in the same song.’
‘You think?’ she queried. Both men answered ‘yeah,’ and then she explained that ‘Tim and I were, like, just so happy to see each other that night. It’s such a cool thing.’
‘Well, it shows,’ said Justin before the video goes to a slate announcing the release date.
After taking a long break, Nelly has returned to making music. She released her latest single, Eat Your Man in June.

In an interview with Vogue, the mother of three said, ‘I had to stop and really go through some real life experiences to be able to be where I’m at now—which is a fully grown-ass woman, just feeling like a lady boss. Living with no shame or apologies.’
The chart topper shares her oldest daughter Nevis, 19, with former boyfriend Jasper Gahunia. She has two younger children, a daughter, five, and a son, four, whose paternity and names she has not made public.
The Glow artist said making mom friends inspired her to return to music.
‘I went to Colombia a year ago, and had this awakening being around these strong, kick-ass women who are not only mothers, but performers. I am a mother, and it is part of my identity, but I’m also the mother of my creativity and art. That needs to be nurtured,’ she explained.
‘Being an artist is my purpose. So I had to learn to let go of that guilt, which is very difficult as a mom. But you need to live the change that you would like.’
