Jimmy Carr, 47, reveals he’s had a HAIR TRANSPLANT as he shows off his new look after his locks ‘socially distanced from his forehead’

Jimmy Carr has undergone a hair transplant after previously admitting that he wanted the cosmetic procedure as it’s part of being in ‘showbusiness’.

The comedian, 47, is set to debut his new look on Saturday’s episode of Peter Crouch Save Our Summer where he is grilled by presenter Maya Jama over his locks.

During the show, Jimmy jokes that his hair had ‘socially distanced from his forehead’ and that he looked like a ‘snooker-playing vampire’.

The TV star looks almost unrecognisable as he debuts a lighter coloured buzzcut, a huge contrast to his past signature raven-coloured quiff.

Maya grills the star and says: ‘It’s a very different look for you’, to which he replies: ‘I tell you what I did, I went and had a hair transplant. I kinda had a look of… like a snooker-playing vampire.’

He continues: ‘So what happened was my hair was socially distancing from my forehead and I’d had enough of it.

‘I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front.

‘Basically I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution.’

It comes after the comedian, who hosts Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats, told The Jonathan Ross Show last year that he was considering getting a hair transplant

He said: ‘We were talking about hair transplants. I want a proper Elvis quiff. I want to go big. Go big or go home.

‘It’s showbusiness baby, let’s enjoy ourselves.’

Jimmy has been seen pushing a pram on numerous occasions over recent months, but no further details are known

The comedian has never confirmed having children with long-term partner Karoline Copping.

Jimmy has been in a relationship with Channel 5 commissioning editor Karoline since 2001 after meeting her at an audition.

The pair have not previously spoken about whether they would have children together.

In March 2017, he told Radio 4’s Desert Island discs that his girlfriend’s first impression of him was ‘one-note comedian with the eyes of a sex offender’.

The star said that even though Karoline wasn’t immediately taken with him, he was instantly smitten, saying: ‘I knew. It felt perfect.’
