Former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard has reportedly sacked his agents after growing frustrated in his search for a new club.
Lingard remains a free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest last summer at the conclusion of a one-year deal worth £200,000-a-week.
The 31-year-old is yet to secure a move six months on from leaving the club, with the former England international reportedly having grown frustrated over the lack of progress.
Sky Sports News, citing a source close to the player, reports that Lingard has severed ties with his representatives as a result.
‘Lingard just wants to play football and has subsequently terminated all ties with his former agents,’ the source claimed.

Lingard has reportedly terminated a ‘complex long-term agreement’ with his agents having grown frustrated that ‘several contract offers and enquiries since his departure from Nottingham Forest have failed to develop’.
It was claimed that ‘money is not the driving force’ for Lingard in his pursuit of a new club.
Lingard has been training privately in Dubai, after failing to land a contract after spells training with West Ham and the Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq during the season.
The forward had a productive loan spell with West Ham in 2021, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances.
West Ham have ruled out a move for Lingard despite an injury crisis in attack, amid concerns at about the 31-year-old going so long without playing.

Scholes wrote in the comments, ‘Are you just gonna f*** about in the gym or are you gonna actually play football?’
He reacted to a further post of Lingard training on a pitch, commenting ‘There we go Jess….a ball’.
Reports in Spain have claimed Lingard has offered himself to Barcelona, while Everton and clubs in Ligue 1 reportedly hold an interest in signing Lingard.
