Jesinta Franklin reveals she’s ‘slowly’ getting her pre-baby body back after welcoming two children – as she challenges herself to regain her fitness in 18 months

Jesinta Franklin has two toddlers at home. 

And the busy mother is now working on getting her fitness back up after having her young children. 

On Saturday, the 30-year-old revealed in an Instagram post that she is on a journey to get back into regular workouts.

Alongside a black and white video in which she is working out at a gym, Jesinta explained she has given herself 18 months to get back in shape.   

‘Slowly, slowly… my only fitness goal after having both of my beautiful children was to build my strength back up again,’ she wrote in her caption. 

‘They say it takes nine months to grow your baby so you need to give your body at least nine months to slowly build back fitness and strength.

‘I birthed two within a year so I’ve given myself 18 months to do things properly and with respect to my body.’ 

She continued: ‘I placed no expectations about what getting strong would look like, I packed away all of my pre baby clothes because I hate the notion that you need fit back into something to have achieved a fitness or health goal once you become a mum. I train twice a week and truthfully, I struggle to make every session. 

‘It always feels like there are 100 other things I need to or should be doing for the kids, the household, for work, life admin etc before training.

‘I often show up to sessions late, with avocado smooshed on my top or my tights from the kids morning tea… but I get there.’

Jesinta signed of by thanking her trainer, writing: ‘Thanks for putting up with my hot mess of a mum self and for being understanding of my slow fitness journey to regain my strength’. 

The model has a daughter Tullulah, two, and son Rocky, one, who she shares with husband Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin.
