‘I lost full control of the car’: Love Island’s Tyla Carr reveals horror crash left her with multiple broken bones and needing an emergency nose job

Tyla Carr has revealed she was involved in a horrific car crash in Mallorca which left her with major injuries and needing cosmetic surgery to her nose. 

The 29-year-old Love Island contestant – who rose to fame in the 2017 series of the ITV2 show – was left with a broken finger, a broken arm and also injured her nose in the crash.

Speaking to Mirror Online about the crash for the first time she spoke out about the dangerous roads and what she went through after the incident.

In the interview, she revealed: ‘I lost full control of the car. I ended up breaking my wedding ring finger, my arm and my nose pretty badly where I needed an emergency operation on my nose to fix it up,’ she explained. 

The influencer was driving a Fiat 500 when she turned a corner ‘a little too quickly’ and the car spun out because of the ‘slippery’ roads.

She lost full control of the car leaving her with several broken bones and had to have emergency surgery on her nose.

She now fears the original surgery that was done in 2016 wasn’t successful as she still has issues with her nose. 

Tyla said: ‘I’d always had a deviated septum, which is where the middle bit of your nose is wonky since I was born. I’d had that fixed once. And then obviously I had my crash, which had knocked it back out of place. They said they’d fixed it.  

Last summer she went under the knife at Transform Hospital Group, which provides healthcare and wellbeing to its clients, specialising in cosmetic surgery.

The clinic revealed her septum hadn’t been fixed properly and she suffered a sore lump but since having it redone she’s ‘a lot happier’ 

She admitted: ‘Now I just feel so much better. Like I’m a lot happier. I’m a lot happier with the way that it looks. I can breathe better. All around it’s really, really helped,’
