It comes just weeks after Helen officially divorced her rugby player husband Richie, 16 months after their high-profile split.
The TV star was issued a decree nisi, signalling the end of their ten-year marriage with the couple receiving confirmation of this in the post.
Strictly star Helen, announced her split from England and Leeds Rhinos rugby league star Richie last April.
Since the end of their marriage, Richie has gone on to have a baby with new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, 32, the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew.
Helen and Richie are now awaiting the granting of a decree absolute which will legally cement the end of their ten-year marriage.
This is a legal formality once a decree nisi has been granted and will be issued by the court as neither of them are contesting the divorce.
News of Helen’s divorce came as she has revealed major changes to her life, including putting her former marital home up for sale and quitting her show on BBC Radio 5 Live so that she can spend more time with her children.
Helen and Richie previously lived in north Leeds, which she has now put on the market as she makes a fresh start.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Helen and Richie married in 2013 and moved into their Yorkshire property together seven years later.
Following news of Helen’s divorce, a friend told MailOnline: ‘Things are moving very fast for Helen and her life is going through a lot of changes. She’s quit a high profile job, has left the home she shared with Richie and now their divorce is finalised.
‘These are exciting times for her and she’s looking forward to a new life.’
Another added: A source told MailOnline: ‘‘It has been a tough time for Helen, but she is moving on with her life, putting the marriage behind her and wants to make a fresh start.’
As Helen moves on with her life, it has also emerged that she has launched herself back into the dating scene.
A source said: ‘Helen’s family and friends encouraged her to get back out there and she was happy to dip her toe back into the dating scene, but she has had some wobbles and found herself feeling guilty. She’s concerned about who to let into her life and worried about being judged for any decisions she makes.
‘There have also been some people who have made comments about her not trying hard enough to make it work with Richie, and it’s made her think about her marriage and what went wrong.
‘Ultimately, she knows she tried everything she could, and once the trust was broken there was just no going back. But dating again has brought up some unexpected feelings that she’s been struggling with.’
It comes after source revealed: ‘After her trust was broken, she’s nowhere near ready for an all-in long-term romance.
‘But she’s not closing herself off to anything anymore. She’s open to new adventures in all respects and is making it her aim to say ‘yes’ to more things that excite her.’
Born and raised in Cumbria, Helen co-presented the BBC children’s programme Blue Peter from 2008 until 2013 and since 2014, she has been a presenter on Countryfile.
The TV favourite also starred in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing where she made it through to the final.
