Gabriella Brooks shares birthday tribute to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth

Gabriella Brooks shares pointed tribute to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth after Miley Cyrus releases comeback single on ex-husband’s birthday

Miley Cyrus released her new single Flowers on ex Liam Hemsworth’s birthday on January 13, leaving many to believe it was a jab at the Hunger Games actor.

But Hemsworth’s current flame, Gabriella Brooks, had the last word, taking to Instagram with a cryptic post to celebrate the Aussie star’s 33rd birthday.

‘It’s Liam day!’ wrote Brooks, alongside a photo of Hemsworth taking a dip in the ocean and a series of emojis, including a love-heart and a birthday cake.

Brooks’ post came just hours after Cyrus, who dated Hemsworth on-and-off for a decade, dropped an empowering breakup anthem.

The 26-year-old model and Liam have been together since December 2019, and have shut down split rumours on numerous occasions, even making their first red carpet appearance in November 2020.

The ultra-private couple, who have been dating for three years, rarely post about each other on social media, and have only appeared in a handful of photos together.

Meanwhile, Miley’s recent track Flowers is soaring to the top of the charts.

With lyrics such as ‘We were good, we were gold, kind of dream that can’t be sold’, it’s no surprise that many believe the song is referencing her failed marriage to Liam.

She also references the Australian star’s sudden act of filing for divorce by singing, ‘I didn’t want to leave you / I didn’t wanna lie / Started to cry.’

At the time it was believed that Miley wanted to work on their 10-year on-again/off-again relationship and was shocked by Liam suddenly filing for divorce in 2019.

The pair were together for nearly a decade and married for one.

In the music video, which also came out Friday, the former Hannah Montana star dances in the streets of Hollywood wearing a golden Saint Laurent red carpet-worthy cut out gown.

Looking like she’s returning from a big night out, Cyrus dances on the street, before getting home, stripping down to black lingerie and jumping in the pool.
