Eva Longoria has a celebratory drink as she toasts to Dianne Warren and Becky G for landing Best Song Oscar nod for The Fire Inside from her directorial debut film Flamin’ Hot

Eva Longoria congratulated Dianne Warren and Becky G on Tuesday, after their song The Fire Inside was nominated for an Oscar.

The actress, 48, took to her Instagram Stories to toast to the ‘amazing’ musicians with a glass of tequila.

The Fire Inside was written by Dianne, 67, and sung by Becky, 26, for Eva’s feature directorial debut, Flamin’ Hot.

The biographical comedy drama tells the inspiring story of a janitor who disrupted the food industry by channeling his Mexican-American heritage to turn Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from a snack into an iconic global pop culture phenomenon.

Eva proudly filmed herself in her modern kitchen, pouring herself a glass of her own tequila, Casa Del Sol, and raising it to Dianne and Becky.

She said: ‘You guys. The Fire Inside, the original song for Flamin’ Hot just got nominated for an Oscar.

‘So I am going to toast our amazing songwriter Dianne Warren and the amazing Becky G. Salud you ladies! Salud, I’m so excited!’

She then took a sip and quietly commented: ‘That’s nice.’

Eva also took to her Instagram grid to congratulate the pair on the Best Song nomination, sharing photos of her with both Dianne and Becky.

Captioning the snaps, she wrote: ‘You guys!! “The Fire Inside” is officially nominated for Best Original Song for this year’s Oscars.

‘What an honor it was to have had the genius @dianewarren write such an empowering song that encapsulates our film so perfectly! And thank you @iambeckyg for bringing the fire to this song❤️‍’

The Fire Inside is up against I‘m Just Ken’ from Barbie, It Never Went Away from American Symphony, Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People) from Killers of the Flower Moon and What Was I Made For? from Barbie.

The nod marks Dianne’s 15th Oscar nomination, with the songwriter being the most nominated woman in the Academy Awards’ history who hasn’t won yet, excluding her honorary prize in 2022.

Speaking about the nod, Dianne told DailyMail.com: ‘I’m so excited to be nominated! The Fire Inside is not only the theme song for the movie Flamin’ Hot, it’s the theme song for dreamers everywhere with that fire inside to make their dreams true.’

Reflecting on her lack of a win yet, she said: ‘This is my 15 nomination and it never gets old. Being nominated is the hugest honor in the world.

‘To hear my song chosen as one of the five is an amazing win in itself. Hey, it’s not easy to get nominated for an Academy Award! And whenever it happens, I never take it for granted.’

Flamin’ Hot – now streaming on Hulu and Disney+ – currently has a 69% critic approval rating (out of 127 reviews) and an 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film stars Jesse Garcia and Annie Gonzalez as Frito-Lay janitor-turned-Flamin’ Hot Cheetos inventor Richard Montañez and his wife Judy Montañez.

The PG-13 movie also features Dennis Haysbert, Emilio Rivera, Tony Shalhoub, Matt Walsh, Pepe Serna, Bobby Soto, Jimmy Gonzales, Brice Gonzalez, Vanessa Martinez, Fabian Alomar, Mario Ponce, and Hunter Jones.
