Elon Musk has slammed Twitter for kicking Jordan Peterson off the social media platform over a tweet that deadnamed Elliot Page.
The billionaire blasted the website ‘for going way too far’ in suspending the psychologist for his post about the transgender actor.
The anti-woke Canadian had his account disabled for negative posts about Page’s transition to a man, saying the actor’s ‘breasts were removed by a criminal physician’.
The tweet was his latest online tirade, with him earlier slamming Sports Illustrated for putting plus-sized swimsuit model Yumi Nu on the front page.
Musk’s weighing into the row came just over two weeks after his child Xavier, 18, announced she was trans and wanted to be called Vivian Jenna Wilson.
The teenager was granted the right to change her name and gender, after declaring she no longer wishes to be related to her biological father ‘in any way.’

Musk wrote on Twitter on Tuesday: ‘Yeah, they’re going way too far in squashing dissenting opinions.’
He was replying to a message on the social network which read: ‘BTW, did you see that JBP was recently banned from the bird app? Strange times.’
Peterson was kicked off the popular website on June 22, but was given 12 hours to redeem himself but chose not to, saying he would ‘rather die’ than delete it.
He had written: ‘The Umbrella Academy actor, who previously went by the name Ellen before announcing his transition in 2020.
‘Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.’
The tweet was posted on June 22, the same day season three of the Netflix show ‘The Umbrella Academy’ was released.
Netflix integrated Page’s transition into the show, changing his character’s name from Vanya to Viktor.
Twitter flagged Jordan’s tweet claiming it ‘violated the Twitter Rules on hateful conduct.
He later took to his Instagram and YouTube page and posted a 15-minute video, standing by his remarks.
Peterson said: ‘The suspension will not be lifted unless I delete the hateful tweet in question. And I would rather die than do that.
‘What was it that I said that caused such a fuss? What exactly was it that I said that resulted in the ban?’
His daughter Mikhaila shared a screenshot of the original tweet and the message from Twitter that her father received.
‘Wow. @jordanbpeterson got a twitter strike. No more twitter until he deletes the tweet. Definitely not a free speech platform at the moment @elonmusk,’ Mikhaila Peterson said.
It is not the first time the psychologist has got in trouble for his comments, having been called out for remarks about model Yumi Nu earlier this year.
He said she was ‘not beautiful’ when she appeared on the front cover of Sports Illustrated magazine.
The comments from Peterson come on the same day the series celebrated the release of its third season. The Netflix series integrated Page’s transition, changing his character’s name from Vanya to Viktor.

The Juno star had dark hair that was cut with bangs that rested in the middle of their forehead.
The Inception actor wasn’t smiling in the photo. He captioned it, ‘Never thought I would love a passport photo.’
He told The Telegraph in May: ‘The use of that model, who was not athletic (remember: SPORTS Illustrated) was manipulative economically and in relation to the model herself (although she participated in her own exploitation).
‘Beauty is an ideal. Almost all of us fall short of an ideal. I’m not willing to sacrifice any ideal to faux compassion. Period. And certainly not the ideal of athletic beauty.’
He added he deleted his Twitter account from his personal devices to prevent him ‘from reading comments from anonymous trolls’ who insisted he was ‘a white supremacist’ and a ‘transphobe’.
Musk’s voyage into the latest trans war to erupt on Twitter came just over two weeks after his oldest child Xavier came out as transgender.
The 18-year-old filed court documents seeking to legally change their gender from male to female and lose their last name.
It said: ‘I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.’
Xavier filed the paperwork in Santa Monica, California, on April 18, seeking to be known as Vivian Jenna Wilson.
The transgender teenager said they wish to take their mother’s last name to distance them from their dad.
They have not commented on whether they receive financial support from their dad – whose $213 billion dollar fortune makes him the world’s richest man.
