Ed Sheeran surprised his German fans with an impromptu gig at Oktoberfest in Frankfurt last week.

The singer, 31, dressed up for the occasion in a blue checked shirt along with lederhosen and a traditional-style hat as he took to the stage to sing his 2017 hit Perfect as well as the Backstreet Boys’ Everybody.

In a post shared to Instagram by the festival’s official account, the BRIT Award winner clutched onto a stein of beer while posing with his starstruck devotees.

Organisers are hopeful they can raise money for charity by flogging the stein he drank from, and they’ve already racked up bits of £1,717 on an eBay auction – which is set to end at 9:15am on Friday morning. 

He had just played a sold-out concert at Deutsche Bank Park, having spent spent the past six months globetrotting through Europe as part of his +-=÷× Tour.

It comes after the Sing hitmaker surprised party goers at Wayne Lineker bar in Ibiza on Monday as he took to the stage at O Beach Ibiza to perform.

Taking to his Instagram account, Wayne, 60, documented the incredible moment as the award winning singer, 31, sang several songs for fans.

Ed seemed in high spirits as he jumped around the stage donning a white T-shirt, khaki shorts and sunglasses performing I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys.

The Bad Habits star performed with a live band as he jumped into the crowd of party goers.

Wayne was all smiles as he shared several clips of the star on social media from the side of the stage.

Wayne penned to one post: ‘So this just happened …I can’t ha #wtf and all from the kindness of his heart @teddysphotos thank you.’

The bar owner went on to reveal the day was: ‘Up there with the greatest moments of my life. When Ed Sheeran pops on the stage for a sing song’.

Wayne revealed the superstar singer ‘had to check his phone for the lyrics’ as he sang Sweet Caroline.

He wrote: ‘This one though. When Ed had to check his phone for the lyrics.

‘I’m so happy for everyone that was there today and experienced this magical moment together. Thank you Ed’.

Wayne was all smiles as he posed for a snap with Ed donning a white T-shirt and matching shorts.

Several famous faces took to the comment section including Georgie Shores Chloe Ferry and Attomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton who wrote: ‘This is brilliant!’

Singer Tallia Storm said: ‘Only Wayne could pull this off, phenomenal’, while Charlie Sloth added: ‘Love to see it’.
